I'm with you on Naked Eyes, AG. Burning Bridges is a classic, to me.
Good stuff. I couldn't pick just one.

Re: Tom Oberheim to release new Four Voice SEM in May 2011
The Polyphonic Programmer has ADSRs. That is gonna make it interesting. It's nice that more flexible lfos were added. Having the S/H and Noise(as in the Mini-Sequencer) will be great - even if there is no lag control for the S/H. I'm assuming that's 4 banks and not just 4 presets. With a 2-digit dis...

Both DP/4 have 1/4" on the rear, but the + are balanced, with a +4/-10 switch, and there is an XLR in on the front.
Another DP/4 lover, here.

Re: Patchbay (audio, not MIDI) recommendations?
Solderman,
I have 3(stacked) and haven't run into it...but you make me want to confirm this a little better. These are the low end of Neutrik line so it might not be a total shocker if it is faulty.

Worked fine for me on the Pro2k. Check w/ audioMIDI. I wouldn't recommend mods. That's just me, though.

Re: Alpha Juno 1 Sounds
I use PG300emu I got from the alpha/mks yahoo group and I prefer it to my PG-300. Someone was nice enough to rar it with other goodies for easier download . A description of the contents can be found here . It's just an editor but it does let you play over midi while programming. I used it to come u...

Re: My debut album
Congratulations on the completion! I'm only through "Nothing to Hide" but I'm really enjoying it. I've got a few friends that will want to check this out. Oh, I like where the guitar was placed in the mix on "Reduce You". Just heard that...good stuff.

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread
I'm loving all the audio being posted. Thanks to all! Scories, another thanks for posting the Two-Voice info Tom provided. While I'm with the others who probably won't buy one, I was still over-speculating in my head on design. For example, it looks like 2 patch panels, side by side, would fit perfe...

Alpha/MKS left channel Chorus/BBD issue(w/ audio example)
My MKS-50 has a cycling/chirping noise in the left channel that is only present when the chorus is on. It appears to be the chorus lfo as it changes with the rate control... and, no, this isn't the typical Juno chorus hiss . I have seen(even here ) other Alpha/MKS owners have this but I don't know i...

You can get the programmer and keyboard schematics here. I've never seen a service manual anywhere.

If the CV price jump is a concern, it appears you have until the 31st, now. That's nice.

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread
Sir Ruff, The left is the old. The small bump around 10hz on both is the Lfo. Are you talking about the difference below that? Btw, the resonance on my old SEMs currently doesn't go as high as the new, so I still can't confidently comment on your thoughts. Keeping the new in the same range as my old...
