very much enjoying this topic. I have a Jupiter 6 and it has a 2 prong lead, now illegal in Australia. A while back I bought a Korg DW8000 from a local second hand dealer. It had the 2 pronged lead which was missing. I scored the synth for $80, took it home and "temporarily" hard wired a power cord ...

If your going to whack some batteries in, if its possible, give the terminals a quick scrape with some wet and dry sand paper. Lightly just to take off any gunk that may be residing there, as you mentioned you have not used batteries before.

HI,

Are you able to put some batteries in and see if it powers up that way. the CZ101 does run on batteries doesnt it?. i had one but that was almost 20 years ago! i do remember that my power jack became slightly detatched from the circuit board, but batteries should prove that
