To the best of my knowledge, it's known that direction is noisy.

Re: sound cards these days?

A few thoughts since my OP... I think the vocabulary these days for what I'm looking for is "DAC". The Delta 1010 is a DAC. However, for those of us who produce as well as consume music we would also probably call it a multiple channel AD/DA converter because we have analog synths we need to feed in...

sound cards these days?

This is all I want to do: Run a low noise signal from my new PC to powered speakers, for instance KRK or JBL. It's for music playback purposes, that's it. This is the dilemma... PCI cards seem to be going away as the, what I would call the reliable-rugged-low noise standard. Maybe that's already hap...

Re: Delta 1010 … post crossover signal routing?

That's what I ended up doing. However by doing this I relinquish separate volume control of the sub and monitors because they are chained. I'm going to try to set-up a few filters in Cubase and test different configurations. I'll post impressions of the outcomes in the future.

Thanks everyone.

Re: Delta 1010 … post crossover signal routing?

Yes, that is true. However, I'd need to buy new cables. I might do that, I might not. In the mean time I can use Cubase.

Re: Delta 1010 … post crossover signal routing?

Thanks for responding. Yes, I'm referring to the M-Audio Delta 1010. There is a reference to a "crossover" in the bass management manual but the more a look at this issue the more I think it's not actually a crossover. Now the question becomes, who makes a software crossover that I can place in the ...

Delta 1010 … post crossover signal routing?

Hello. I recently introduced a subwoofer to my monitoring and listening set-up. I read the Delta 1010 bass management manual but there is no commentary that describes how bass management is used in conjunction with signal routing in the patch bay router section of the software. I've never needed to ...
