Re: Where can i get Curtis filters from?

Yes, but NOW this sound is what ALL vintage lovers are after!! In addition, I would quess that they want to get original equipment, not so much even better copies. And, they like the functional simplicity of the old synths, which is making these synths managenable without a need to be a computer sof...

Xpantastic

Some of the most difficult Xpander/M-12 components to find in my knowledge are, if they break, the displays and CEM3374 chips. Buttons may also be difficult to get. There are new replacing rotary encoders, however. And, better keyboards for Matrix-12, for example. (Ofcourse, the easiest way to get a...

My opinion and recommendations

In my opinion, velocity and aftertouch are important, but weighted keys not so much in electronic music. However, semi-weighted keys feel better than cheaper systems. Just try yourself. For example, Tyros-2 has got a very good semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and aftertouch. In any case, I'd pre...

Also on CDs it would be quite nice, if the instruments in each song were listed. But, it is a secret at the release time, I guess.

Pre-ordering

Just a good hint for anybody considering to buy this new type of synth: You'll get a great discount on Solaris, if you decide to pre-order it. My Solaris ordered some weeks ago is #24. And, now I did read that there are only a few left, so better hurry.

Oberheim Matrix-1000

4 x Oberheim M1000 = 32 voices polyphony with 4 voices multi-timbral. Moreover, this synth has a speciality: Several units can be assigned to play a note in turn, one after an other. This effect is not easy to do even with most new synths without using a DAW. And, the minimum number in my opinion is...

Thanks. I did search for "the most expensive synth", but did not find any intormation directly related. And, I could not think of searching for "the most over-priced synth" ... There must be a complete price list of analog synths somewhere. Here is a good reference in general: http://www.pre...

The most expensive synth of all times?

Hello,

Which are the most expensive synths of all times? (Original pricing)

First guess:
KORG OASYS: USD 10700,- / EUR 7300,- / GBP 5300,-

You are right. In www.vintagesynth.com you can see, which bands did use this synth. And, after listening their samples in www.amazon.com, for example, you could buy their CDs. I used to do this in case of Oberheim Xpander finding some quite interesting music.

Hi, Please, can anybody recommend me the following vintage synth service center? I'm unable to find any useful information about him in the web. And, I'm about buying expensive spare parts from him.
