Tama TechStar TS-204 & TS-206

Hey, all! I just recently purchased these 2 units, and had a couple of questions in regard to using them. 1. Can I use modern trigger pads (Roland pd-9v as an example) with them? 2. I know they use 1/4" cables for connections, but are there special ones needed for this application, or can I use regu...

Re: La Roux's "Bulletproof" (What synths?)

I see this is turning into a pissing match that I don't want to be part of. I apologize if I offended anyone. As Rodney King once said, "Can't we all just get along?" :D

Peace!

Re: La Roux's "Bulletproof" (What synths?)

Wow, it seems like I pissed in everyone's corn flakes by implying that this was a REAL song! Sorry to offend all you REAL musicians that look down on us hobbyists that are just looking for a bit of info on what I consider to be the best place on the net to do so. I won't bother you any more. Peace! ...

La Roux's "Bulletproof" (What synths?)

So, I love this song to death, and was wondering if anyone knows what synths (real or computer based) were used in its production. I did a Google search, and came up with nothing. :(

Peace!

Re: What got you into synths?

I remember getting the 45 for Gary Numan's "Cars" back in the day (OK, it was a LONG time ago), and instantly fell in love with the synth sound. So, I was a sucker for '80s music all around...Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, OMD, The Cure, Tomas Dolby & Howard Jones. I still love to listen to all of that,...

Re: Roland PG-200 Cable

I found that the cable in question is the same as the one used to connect the Commodore external tape drive to a Vic 20 or a Commodore 64. Look on eBay, it's where I found mine. Peace! Re: No Sound From My Micron

Well, no luck at The Shack :( ! All they have is AC->DC models.....So, I did find this online http://www.action-electronics.com/acadapter.htm#Ac . This appears to be correct. Maschinengeist and/or Stab Frenzy care to back me up on this one before I order? I would wait to hear back from Tech Support ...

Re: No Sound From My Micron

Did you make sure you got the right type of transformer? i.e. AC to DC vs AC to AC Altitude , which would I need, as the Micron is marked 9V AC at the plug (on back of synth), and the adapter is 9V DC output. I guess I should have paid more attention while I was at the Shack. Peace! Scott That's yo...

No Sound From My Micron

Hey all! Well, after not hearing from UTEPguy about my missing AC Adapter for the Micron I bought from him, I broke down and went to Radio Shack and got a generic one. The adapter works fine (9V, 1.5A same as the OEM), the synth powers up, but NO sound. Nothing from the headphone jack, nothing from ...

I have seen this done before, reported it to eBay and they shut it down. It looks like this one got through. I feel bad for the bidder. This is like the third or fourth auction I've seen listed like this. Two got shut down by eBay (I know I reported one), and the other two (this one included) made ...
