You guys could someday shut up about the mpcs, in my opinion they have moved into the territory of pure profitable image based products, and the newer, more "affordable" version I've played with at the store, remind me of fisher price toys, ignoring whatever engine could be inside. if he's playing a...

woot

I totally agree korg have become absolutely nutty to release s**t like they do. I LOVE my electribe, but when I look at the new triton extremes and press the keys and buttons and I kind of walk away shaking my head.

I use an alesis MMT-8 and find it well intuitive and very easy to manage, perhaps a couple of quirks make looping a slight work around deal, but for the most part it'll give you 8 tracks of whatever and allow you to edit, easy to play.

yeah sure, it's easiest to get a little usb midi controller see, but totally functional to type notes into the step sequencer, you'll want to look at the sequencer and hit the tab that switches into the step edit mode, there you can choose the pencil tool, and draw in your notes, takes a while, but ...

hhmm, yeah I don't know if you can play more than one sample layered and independent at once on a lot of samplers. YOu can do it on a kurzweil, you can layer 3 samples on one kurzweil program if you want to, and have any kind of modulation affecting amplitude and or filtering. If you only want to he...

I used to have one, however now I can't find it and dont remember where from it came... But I could help you if you have any particular questions. It's easy to get into once you see what it does, and it really doesn't go that far either. The sequencer I never got to work on mine.

kind of an interesting idea, except to consider what you're trying to produce, I can only imagine it's some free running loops that don't need to sync up on certain beats eh? well FL is designed for all the patterns to play together in sync, now I've done some things to get past the blockiness that ...

so ableton isnt rlly good for plugging a controller in and playing some stuff, switching patches/instruments and editing parameters? yeah it works great for those, things. I used to use the "rewire" feature and run reason as a slave. Reason could run to it's full capacity and came in on one of the ...

not familiar so much with kontakt, but I understand it as simply a soft-sampler with lots of editing possibilities. However Ableton, is much more a live performance sequencer and loop layer, with awesome easy triggering and tweaking for really instant live digital performance. Guess it's up to how y...

Re: industrial drums

Hi, does anybody have a clue where bands like PTP, Revolting cocks, Ministry and similar in mid to late 80s got those kicks and snares with that hihat-ish attack? I mean which drum machine it was or whatever? Thanks \ \ I will tell you this, they synthesized that s**t out of cheesy a*s samples, and...

goodness gracious boys. But you don't do your research, watch, I'll go register with roland and they won't have it. and then I'll go turn on the sequencer, and load it up, and press all the buttons, and have nothing happen.

okay quick update. I've checked sonic state, harmony central, manual manor, route 66, oh , and definitely roland themselves. And my only way out appears now to send 60 dollars cash CASH to the Netherlands NETHERLANDS to purchase the manual. I'm experiencing f**k rabbit hole syndrome here.
