If you read on the webpage...it says it uses 2 9v batteries or an 8v-12v power adapter...I don't think they'd be so foolish as to design, build and market the unit and not send some means of powering the unit on with it...

Wow, lots of good responses. Yeah, I've been asking around about that unison thing. It was really bugging me for a bit. I don't use the unison at all...it just sounds weird and kinda useless to me. I had been wondering about the ax60...is there a way you can detune the ax60's voices and get a stacke...

Ok good, I was freaking out that it might be malfunctioning. I figured it might be just the nature of the DCOs. Thanks guys!

I just asked the same question these forums. Which roland drum machines work for this? would a 707 or 505 work? Also, I'm using a korg emx, would the 909 rimshot sample on it work if played loud enough?

Juno106 voice problems maybe?

Not sure why my posts keep getting erased but i'll try again... My juno106 just had all 6 voice chips replaced. I have done the diagnostic test many times over the course of many hours and all 6 voices work jut fine. When i put the unit into unison mode, it sounds like the tone keeps dropping into t...

Comments about the juno106

I just got one last night with all 6 voice chips professionally replaced. It's a really nice unit and I love the sound. I'm looking for everyone's opinions on this board. I was thinking of maybe going to a jx-3p instead, yes? no?...Also...can anyone explain to me why when I put the board into unison...

Ways to trick the sh101 sequencer?

Is there a way I can trick the SH101's sequencer into thinking it has an external click device setting the tempo of the unit by just using a simple drum machine or something? I've been trying to get it to work, but it hasn't thus far. I used to trick my mono/poly into playing the arpeggiator along i...

I kinda was figuring the big one was a pro5 but wasn't totally sure...but that smaller one? I've never seen an old mini before and don't know what the back looks like.

New Dead Chemist track

Ok so we posted on here way back when we had tons of time to record and mess around with our instruments. School and work have consumed our lives and we haven't had the time or inspiration to make anything...until recently. We're kicking it back into high gear, getting a full set together and hopefu...

I'm kind of after the prophet64 sequencing style. If I was gonna get something like this, I'd just buy an elektron sidstation. Still looking for anything related to these units.

SID versus SID2SID???

So I have been getting very interested in commodore64 compositions. Some of the tracks made using the thing are just amazing to me. However, I don't know ANYTHING about how to go about doing this, except that you need a WORKING commodore64, a SID chip and the prophet64 cartridge. I've read some thin...

Initialize patch on MEK?

Is there one? or is there a way to do it somehow? I'm getting tired of stripping all the complicated presets down to barebones just so i can stack back on them again.

Using an MEK to midi control a poly?

Just had this question pop into my head and I couldn't think of a logical explaination as to why the MEK COULDN'T act as a midi controller to a poly synth module. I was thinking about buying a Novation Nova and using the MEK to control it, but I am not sure if I'd be able to use the Nova poly or not...

Korg EMX or RM1x?

I'm debating between the two of these units. I am going back to my indietronica project with my best friend and we need a good midi brain/sequencer/drum machine. I like the emx for the synth engine and the ease of use. I don't know much about the RM1x except that it's a great sequencer. So, my quest...
