For a cheap solution, you could get a Roland SC-8850. It's the only Sound Canvas that has Gamelan orchestra kits and patches in it. I want to and will get an XV-5080. In my opinion this is the last PCM synthesizer that Roland did a good job on. The V-Synth is good but I don't really consider it a PCM synth, more like a variant of LA. Does the older JV-2080 have anything in it that would make it worth having alongside the XV? I k...
