EASY QUESTION! What AC Adaptor Does The MOTU MTP1 Use?

I have the Mark Of The Unicorn Midi Time Piece (the first one) and I just moved and misplaced the adaptor. It takes a "barrel" type adaptor, but I cant remember if it is 9V, 12V, or something else. All the new MOTU units have a built in power supply, but not the MTP1. Its crazy, there is no info on ...

Good 64 Step MIDI Sequencer For Live Use? -lots of knobs etc

Heres the thing. I have the MFB Synth 2, which sounds great, but its internal 32 step sequencer is not very easy to use in a live seting. I was thinking about just buying a cheap korg electribe EA-1 for its MIDI sequencing capabilities. Are there other options as far as grooveboxes that can do 64 st...

Where are the remix competitions?

Hey, was wondering if anyone knows of any. Id like to enter. Maybe theres even a forum for them.
I did look around, but I only seem to find ones that are already finished. I do alot of different kinds of electronic music, and open to most styles. If anyone knows of any, post em here.
Thanks!

FR 777 or FR Revolution

Is the Revolution any good? Or is the 777 just that much better. Its way more expensive, out of my range frankly. Is it because it can do way more than the Revolution, or because its rarer? Is the Revolution more of a one trick pony, in that it can really only emulate the 303, and not much more? Any...

Oh!!! Sothats why I couldnt get it to work as a MIDI controller, it doesnt send MIDI cc data! I was gonna remove the remaining chips to resell, cus if you do that, I think you get just as much if not more than if you sell the entire thing. right. anyways... woulda been cool looking though. And a lot...

Juno 106 as MIDI Controller

I have one in pretty nice condition other than a dead voice chip. Instead of installing another one, Im thinking about removing the remaining voice chips that are left and just using my J106 as a MIDI controller only. It sends MIDI from all of its knobs and sliders right? And I think it looks better...

Whats a good drum machine for triggering drum synths?

To have a good trigger for drum synths it should be loud and short, right? What are some MIDI drum machines (cheap ones) that I could use the outputs to trigger my drumfire and simmonds modules? I vaguely recall some Yamaha drum machine that has alot of outputs and is cheap for this purpose. Current...

as for the 2 sets of speakers, having more than 2 might be unneccesary.
Id rather have 1 really nice pair than 2 pairs of OK ones.

but,
dont listen to us, do whats more comfortable for YOU.

Re: recording mono patch in stereo

There is something thats been bugging me lately. I noticed this today when I was recording a mono patch of my Virus. I recorded the output of the Virus > Tapco Mix100 analog mixer > input of my E-MU soundcard. Should the recorded signal's left and right channels be EXACTLY the same dB since its a m...
