Re: six trak from USA to UK - nearly a semitone lower

and there are C123a which are designed to be rechargeable - if you skip the video halfaway you'll see these can be purchased from Amazon + charger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjUjY4JoVsA Add a holder if you'd like, but don't fuss with rechargeable batteries. Battery changes only need to happen...

Re: Transplanting synthesizer parts

What you're describing isn't possible. You could transplant Arp Axxe parts into another Arp Axxe but not a different brand of synth altogether. All these instruments are designed differently, so leave the mods and DIY stuff to the pros.

Re: Yet another Poysix repair

I recently had my tech resurrect a Polysix from the same state. I put the new CPU board in myself but he fixed a lot of bad wiring and grounding issues. It behaved almost the same way yours did before I started leaving it turned on all day, every day . Sometimes I had to sweep through the whole para...

Re: Vintage synths, are they really worth it?

It's 2020. If you're just getting into synths: nah dude. Prices are ridiculous now.

If you're familiar with fixing stuff, buying broken gear that no one wants to fix is pretty much the only way to acquire decent vintage gear these days. Worked for me though.

Is he seriously asking $1,999 for for a Polysix?? HARD PASS.
No, I didn’t mention the price, since our currency sucks at the moment and it might be misguiding. The price on the PolySix is $1400
Oh, ok that seems more reasonable. That key issue sure is weird though.

Re: Still possible to get a Juno 60 for a good deal?

I almost bought one online from Musicgoround for $1200 last year but my credit card thought it was fraud and it kept declining the transaction. It sold the next day to someone else. It's not worth it... I would try a Juno 106 or a Juno 6.

Re: NIN Nord Lead on eBay. guy immediately gets defensive

I mean h**l someone made this blog thinking I was ripping someone off. Just let that sink in. And imagine the crazy emails and denial I got. Its pretty wild when you have the nin auction serial numbers matching the equipment, with the box sent from them, and emails from nin gear and people still gi...

XP60 does indeed regularly sell for a lot more money. Pretty good deal when you factor in the price difference.

Re: Korg M1 Problem, Only UP button responding

Definitely the tact switches. I had a Wavestation EX that had this problem. I ended up buying a desoldering gun and replacing all of them. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can get the job done in a couple hours. Also, be careful with those plastic circular buttons on the M1, they can snap ...

The twangy sound in the intro is definitely DX7 or something FM.
