Re: Novachord #346 Inspection & Initial Wakeup

I think the only word I can apply here is "stunning". Superb. Thanks again for the kind comments... Todays Update: I've spent hours today recording hundreds more megabytes of raw sample material now - there are Gigabytes now awaiting Steve's careful attention. Even before I can submit this data it ...

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...

I'm using an 8-core Mac Pro and am EASILY able to run multiple instances of polyphonic softsynths like Arturia's CS-80v or any Native Instruments synth easily, to say nothing of all the 3rd party fx plugins and ITB Logic plugins that I'm running at the same time. The Virus is just a softsynth with ...

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...

It seems as though this subject touched a nerve on some people! I can't believe some of you use the argument that VA's are any different from softsynths because they use DPS's for the processing. Sorry, but the DSP's in the Virus have nothing on a multicore computer. I'm using an 8-core Mac Pr...

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...

I never understood the appeal of the Virus or other VA's. They're just software synths with a keyboard. Overpriced c**p.

Re: Prophet VS gets hot

It's common among VS's. I couldn't believe how hot mine got after a few hours of use. From what I've read, however, this is normal and shouldn't affect any of the internals.

Nice. Enjoy your Super JX, rhino. It's the best DCO analog ever made. Its sound still floors me.

Sorry, chief, but I have. Feel free to assume on any other matter, though. Now who's assuming? At no point have I insinuated that YOU have no experience on any given machine - I didn't specify individuals as I have no knowledge as to who has played what and was thus speaking generally. The tone of ...

Wavestation, M1 and Jupiter-4. Jupiter 4? I think some people are basically just listing their synths and nothing else. Better that, than someone posting comments about instruments that they haven't even laid fingers on. Sorry, chief, but I have. Feel free to assume on any other matter, thou...
