Re: Weird ION issue?
Do you have another patch (a, b, c, d buttons) also enabled? Does it do the same thing when you load another setup ("recall setup", then use the clear knob to select another setup)?

Re: Possible synth find...Wish me luck.
Is this related to your synth find? Did someone just send out a memo to all the churches with synthesizer music ministries?

portamento samples from minimoog owner
I'm looking for a minimoog owner willing to record the slides between high and low notes at various glide settings with a single oscillator. I've done some circuit simulations and want to see if the timing and shape I got happen in the real thing. Anyone interested?

Re: Help needed to replace Juno 106 battery
It's a good practice to snip the battery leads to remove the battery and then desolder them from the board to avoid heating up the old battery.

Re: Juno 106 portamento is whacked
The portamento slides from the last note played by the voice. This does not necessarily mean the last note played. In Poly 1 the voices rotate so this could mean it slides from a note your played five notes ago. This also means if you play C G C, when you play the C a second time it will reuse the v...

Re: Alesis ION repair-question
I used Mouser # 781-J111-E3 successfully. I don't remember if the Aux outs used the same transistors or not.

Re: Quiz: How Well Do You Know Your Synthesis?
1. It's the steepness of the filter slope. More specifically, the amplitude of the output decreases by that many decibals for each octave that you move away from the cutoff frequency. And by definition, the cutoff frequency is the point at which the amplitude is 3 dB below the average amplitude wit...

Re: Synths used in my favorite Rick Springfield song
I asked Gabe Katona and this is his response: "We mostly used the Prophet [5] on the filter sweep pads. On the synth stabs and the filter swell coming and going in and out of the choruses we used an Oberheim four voice SEM analog synth. I can't remember what we used on the sample and hold synth bits...

Ben Folds remix (Justice style)
I just finished a Ben Folds remix. I think the inspiration is evident. No analog content due to laziness.

Re: Moog Rogue HELP!
Check the connector on the main circuit board from the keyboard. The red wire should be facing towards the back and the grey wire should be facing towards the keys. Also make sure all five pins are going into the connector.

Re: Cars "Hello again" classic sync sound
See attachment. Sync VCO 2 to VCO 1. Make VCO 2 a square wave. Set both VCOs to 16'. Modulate pitch of OSC 2 with Env 1 (.75 or so). Set Envelopes accordingly. Filter is wide open in the picture but you may want to cut high frequencies a little.

Re: Fix Juno-6
Does it happen for all PWM switch and PWM slider settings? Does it happen every time one of those notes is played or only sometimes? Does the problem affect the presets?
