Re: 8 Bit / Glitch

Ah, I know what you mean now. Ha, yes I was aware of that, the jump cuts between video clips causing a glitch effect of their own. No I didn't think that's what the synth does!

Cheers, my good man

Re: 8 Bit / Glitch

I watched the vid OP posted, and could say quite a bit about it not being simply 8-bit nor a glitch unit, it looks and sounds like a bit-crusher or Lo-fi effect which has various bit rates and sweeping the frequencies gives those kind vocal and lo-fi sounds. Anyhow maybe I'm wrong, but the main thi...

oh well. this at least reminded me about NerdSynth ...although it took sifting through a year's worth of bookmarks to find it.
No harm done! In fact, I'll encourage users to keep sharing any gear related to the o.p

Re: 8 Bit / Glitch

What a fun and useful piece of performance gear, that looks. Thanks for sharing, although ultimately not the one. I'm pretty sure now it was a sound generator of some sort, rather than an fx processor.

Thanks again.

8 Bit / Glitch

Heya, lads. I read an article in a magazine (with SOS or Future Music) some time in 2015, a review rather, about a sound module which possibly generated ''glitch'' or/and 8-bit type sounds. I can't recall, though, if it was a sound generator/synth or an effects module. I have a feeling it generated ...

Re: Digital Drumkits vs Analog Synth Drums

The ER1 is fun and great for 'bleeps'. I never had any luck creating useable kicks and snares with it though. And the preset kicks and snares are a disaster also, in my opinion of course! Quite cheap to purchase, but will likely be back in EBay within a couple of months

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini / MC 303 - Stab Beat

Sounds great, although the arp / lead part with the M.K let it down I think. It clashes with that lovely bass I think, in terms of frequency. If played on a higher pitch, it would have it's own a become clearer, and mix less muddy. Enjoyable stuff though, nice one

Re: Rhodes House #2

I love that initial bass, the arp part and the lead. Fantastic sound design and arrangement. I really don't like the drums though, to me they don't sit comfortably in the mix with the rest. Perhaps they're too dry or perhaps they're not the right drum sounds? I'm no expert on four to the floor style...

Re: tIB - Deformed Bugs - Live Modular Set

Sounds great, although had it been 3/4 minutes long, I might have listened to it all.

The 45 minutes put me off, did it need to be that length? This was the length of a performance or something?

As I say, though, fine sounds.

This is brilliant. Good man. I like your influences, Grandaddy are one of my favourite bands. I also hear Super Furry Animals in there too, another favourite.

Re: Baby Downtempo

Your link isn't working, my friend. I searched it though, try this: https://soundcloud.com/elson-trinidad/egga-featuring-zora I think it's quite brilliant, it really works. I wouldn't use the baby vocal from start to finish though, by having it only in a chorus part, for example, the listener would ...
