Re: Men Without Hats
In that video, its either a Yamaha CS-50 or CS-60. I do not know them well enough to tell them apart in that particular video.

Korg MS-10 Does... Dubstep?
I'm sure most of you aren't huge fans of dubstep, neither am I. Wobble bass is still a lot of fun to play with though, and that's all I was doing here. The MS-10's filter does some great wubwubs!.

Re: Does the Poly 800 mk2 crackle ?
I hear it loud and clear. My EX-800 doesn't have any noise like that. I would say check your signal path, but it sounds like the noise only comes into play when the on-board delay is added. I would find a service manual for the MK-II and locate the IC's for the on-board effects, and check them accor...

Re: DCB to Midi : Roland MD-8
Gahh I'm sorry. For some reason I thought it did. I'll eat my words.
You are correct, it does not do DCB <-> MIDI. Thought it can transmit either while syncing to DIN-Sync.
Sorry for throwing in confusion...

Re: DCB to Midi : Roland MD-8
The MSQ-700 won't work for your pusposes. You can only use the DCB or MIDI inputs separately on it, in other words using the DCB port disables the MIDI ports and vice a versa. Its only use is as a hardware sequencer. OP only stated he wanted to do MIDI sync, which I'm almost certain the MSQ-700 can...

Re: DCB to Midi : Roland MD-8
Looks like there has been a drought of them... when they are available, they go for reasonable prices.
I have one, but the tempo potentiometer is broken (never needed it as I always run with an external midi clock anyways).

An MSQ-700 should do the trick. They go for cheap all the time.

Sequential Circuits MAX
I picked up one of these over the weekend for very cheap. Even cheaper than the standard for Poly-800's. I find this astonishing as these are essentially SCI Six-Trak's inside. Yes they are only programmable over MIDI, but they have a very complete MIDI-CC implementation. In today's wealth of cheap ...
