Re: alpha juno 1 & vs alpha juno 2
"Two αJUNO models are available: The αJUNO-1 and the αJUNO-2. There are only three major differences between them. The first difference is the keyboard. The αJUNO-1 has 49 keys while the αJUNO-2 has 61 keys. Using Key and Octave Transpose functions, both models can produce the sounds over an 8-octav...

Re: NI FM7 or FM8
I tried the demo and in the end I kept my FM7 license, it's still a really fantastic VST imho and I actually prefer it over FM8, mainly because of the better GUI, better legacy patches import and the randomize function. Also in general I prefer keeping extra stuff (arpeggiator and FX) separate from ...

Re: NI FM7 or FM8
I wanted to ask the same exact question
Basically I have a licensed FM7 and now there's this super summer offer from NI to upgrade to FM8: it's very tempting, it's like only 35€, but I'd like to know if it's really worth it sound wise.. talking about the GUI in my opinion FM7 > FM8

What's this synth?
Hi, does anyone recognize this synth? I took this picture a few years ago in a shop in japan, but I never actually found out what it was.! Any guesses?

microKORG is definitively not a toy.. think of it as a desktop module with the added benefit of mini keysmiket156 wrote:I don't mean to offend anyone, but the MICRO Korg is the toy, not the MS2000. Sorry about that. I don't get a rise out of the small keys.

Re: Synth used to make the intro to Born Slippy
Certainly it's not what underworld used, but there's a preset on the microKORG that emulates exactly that sound. A16 - "Slippy Pad" - pretty close sound

+1 vote for Reaper. At least give it a try, it's free for 30 days.

Re: Ronson's "Bang Bang Bang" - JMJ homage?
I love the video and the song! Definitively I prefer things like this than all the gaga rubbish.. It's always pop, it cannot be too intellectual, but at least this is actually a catchy tune in my opinion very well produced. If I had to think of influences for the song and the video I wouldn't say JM...

Re: Help! - Doepfer MS-404 playing always the same pitch
F*CKING YESSSSS :D I was desperate: or send it to pricey assistance or sell it low price as broken unit. So I opened the box and used the "touch and try" method.. I said " why not give it a go at this point"? I touched random parts here and there and then the "magic condenser" near to the Audio Out....

Re: Help! - Doepfer MS-404 playing always the same pitch
Midi-CV works perfectly, so the problem must be something that has to do with the analog circuit, it isn't MIDI related for sure. Unless some miracle happens I think I'll have to send it to repair somewhere to make it work :( ... Here's a pic of my settings and an audio sample if you care to compare...

Re: Help! - Doepfer MS-404 playing always the same pitch
Thanks for the answer! I'll try this out for sure.. but how can I know if the voltage changes? It's my first true analog synth so I'm not really very handy with CV :D Sorry, I didn't explain too well.. plug a cable into the "CV out", then with a voltmeter, go to the other end of the cable and hold ...

Re: Help! - Doepfer MS-404 playing always the same pitch
Weird. It sounds like there's at least some change in pitch in the square example though. Does frequency modulation work at least? What happens if you hold down a key (ASDR:0-0-12-0) while the frequency oscillates very slowly let's say at level-10 and freq-10 (switch up). Does the unit at least res...
