Re: please help me pick a mixer and a compact sampler!

the Roland SP-404 is a good compact phrase sampler with sweet effects. Not too expensive either.

Re: I need help! for my sp 12

I've wondered about the effects processor on the MV-8000.. does anyone know if it is the same as the effects on the SP-303/404 series phrase samplers?

Re: The Elektron Machinedrum Thread

Thanks for the replies. I had considered the monomachine but two things that draw me towards the machinedrum are the actual drum sounds themselves (since I'd be using it as a drum machine as well as sound FX etc) and the UW features. I'm mostly into sampling and don't use synths that much, so I like...

Re: The Elektron Machinedrum Thread

Just a question to machinedrum users... how would the machinedrum do as a sound design device? I know that there are many far better high end synths for this job (v-synth for example) however I like the idea of the machinedrum sequencer and the fact that I'd like to mess about with its drum synthesi...

just listening now, out of interest when you say you recorded with the mic on your ibook do you mean you played synths etc through amps/speakers and then recorded that into the laptop? It sounds really nice, has a nice natural airy feel to it, gives it a feeling of space (and I don't mean outter spa...
