Re: Arturia Matrixbrute

^ Mine showed up with two keys broken just from shipping. Perhaps it was one from the earlier production run as you noted . . .

Re: Arturia Matrixbrute

I'd be very interested in hearing more about the sequencer... I'd like to know more too . . . the Arturia product page says it's a 64 step, but can it be configured as 32 steps with two simultaneous tracks or 16 step with four simultaneous tracks? It'd be nice to use it this way for more modulation...

Re: Arturia Matrixbrute

I agree that build quality is the biggest question mark with this synth. The features and design look amazing. The previous Brutes were cheap in price but also cheaply constructed . . . hopefully this is a proper flagship for the line and no corners were cut with the manufacturing.

What's up with Native Instruments Kontrol Software?

A few weeks ago I got a promo email from Native Instruments saying that their new Kontrol software was available for download (probably in support of my recently upgraded Komplete 9). I was enthused about it since it sounded similar to (if not exactly alike) their Kore 2 platform, which to my sadnes...

Re: U-He Satin Tape Emulation

Hey Tomorrowstops -
I'm curious to hear about how your comparison went between this emulation and UA's Studer 800. Feel free to post your findings when you get the chance . . .

Huge props for DSI customer support!

I've rarely needed customer support for any product but it just so happens that I've had to contact Dave Smith Instruments twice and they've gone above and beyond my expectations each time.
Thanks DSI! You've earned my loyalty.

Replacement Key for Mono Evolver Keyboard

Hey,
Can anyone please point me toward a replacement B key for my beloved Dave Smith MEK? This is a relatively easy fix that I can do myself, yes?
Cheers!

Re: Some basics on MIDI jitter in DAWs

Changes in timing this small in the context of a performance are felt more than heard. But it can definitely prove to be the difference between a part that's played professionally verses loosey-goosey. However, it could also be a desirable result when the notes begin as a quantized sequence and the ...

Re: Some basics on MIDI jitter in DAWs

Nice article, thanks for posting. I've suspected something like this existed. Definitely worth resetting the appropriate preferences for optimization in your host DAW when recording midi.

NAMM 2013 Headlines

Hey Gentlemen, Would anyone here be so kind as to boil down the main NAMM announcements so far? Unfortunately I can't afford the time right now to sift through Matrixsynth's prolific postings to find out what's going on. It goes without saying that I've already heard about the new Moog synth but wha...
