I really like my MV-8800, they are going relatively cheap got mine new for $925 from Novamusik,
really nice to get away from the computer for my music making.

Re: TB 303

I love my FR Revolution, I really dont care how accurately it mimics the TB-303, it just sounds great IMO and is a lot of fun to use, but here is a comparison on the two: http://www.acidvoice.com/revolution.htm There's also a comparion there for the xoxbox. http://www.acidvoice.com/x0xb0x.htm Revolu...

Re: Anyone here upgraded DSI EVOLVER KEYBD to the POT versio

I have the same problem with my MEK, jumping values and some knobs don't care wich way I turn they just go up. I was going to give deoxit a try as DSI recommends, but as mine was still under warranty I took it to my local DSI dealer. DSI ship DeoxIT for free to those who suffer from faulty encoders:...

Well I just heard back from Jered, this is what he had to say about the jumper settings: There is a little blue jumper shunt that can be repositioned to connect the middle pin to the other outside pin of the internal jumper. What this does is allow the Revolution's amplifier Gate signal to decay ove...

Do you have any more info on this? I am just wondering how the 303 mode differs from regular Revo mode as the Revo is basically a 303 clone/emulator. Can't remember exactly what Jered mentioned about changing the jumper and what it does, you'll have to email Jered at F-R and ask him. But opening up...

I have my freind open it up and it all ready has a holder in it and it was not taped down!! I replaced the battery of my revo and placed a battery holder for easy future replacing as mine only had a battery soldered directly to the board. hey Syn303, can you elaborate a bit? i've not heard of this ...

Thanks for the reply kayvon,
I just bought a Russian Big Muff pi, which sounds rather bad... but in a good way :D

But please post the results of your comparison on the line level vs re-amped experiment.

Thanks, Meso

Do I need to "re-amp"?

Hi I Have been using guitar effect pedals with my synths for some time but somehow some sound great but others sound just awful, but then the same pedal that sounds awful with synths can sound great with a guitar or bass, its usually the distortion/overdrive fx that sound like c**p with my synths, I...

I had a MS2000R for a few years and I don't consider it "soft" by any means,
I got some pretty gritty sounds out of it, and a great user interface.

I can't comment on the Kawai as I have never used one, but I love my Rogue, simple yet fun little synth with a lot of character.

And the ms2000 and MicroQ are hardware VA's not software ;)

I had the misfortune of overloading a table with gear and it caved in because of excessive weight, only one casualty and one injury though which is remarkable considering the table height and most of my gear in a big pile on the floor, the casualty was a Korg EA-1 which landed under my computer moni...

Thanks for all your comments guys, I'm really happy with the s-770 so far, It sounds great and its in perfect condition. If I get another sampler it won't be a s-760, I would like to get a lo-fi 12bit sampler to go along with the pristine sounding s-770 :) plus its not like I have a lot of options ...
