Well I have a padKontrol, I thought it would be like a cheap MPC setup...but the problem here is latency :( like playing with badly trimmed samples Anyway, the build is nice, metal case with plastic sides, no issues since I got it ( it was a gift) I like it over the trigger finger because of the lig...

It's one of my fave features of the Xiosynth, it's used on most of my basses/leads. I don't know how would compare to classic synthesis, but it's like a preamp overdrive going to the filter to my ears. It makes the filter sound a lot more raw, but it doesn't end up sounding like a squarewave, a lot ...

Yes, I was surprised with the size of it too, it's bigger than I thought. But...most of the complaints are about the usb integration, something they'll gonna fix for sure in future updates, as, for example, the virus TI. And then there's the "sounds thin and weak" part of those rants...something tha...

Sending the whole mix (or just "crucial" sounds, depends ) to two different busses, one with subtle compression and lowpassed a little, the other one compressed really hard, with overdrive and highpassed. Blending them gives me a fat and rough sound, plus automating the levels on them is a great way...

Where did you looked? if it was at control panel/midi instruments, have a look at audio interfaces, mine show there, not on midi instruments. If you looked at your sequencer's midi outputs and wasn't there...was the midisport plugged before opening cubase/sonar/whatever? You have to plug it before t...

you don't need recycle, it's fairly simple but time consuming. Go to the track and zoom the phrase you want to "stutter" Select Snap to 32th or 64th's Pick the scissor tool and cut it into small pieces ( 32th's or 64's) then rearrange them, pitchshift them, timestretch them, go wild. You can also ma...

The only thing you can do is sit, relax, and wait until tascam releases Vista drivers for the us122...that's why Vista is avoided, there's not much drivers available.

I sold all my drum boxes, they weren't special either.
But I did all the beats on the computer, because audio recording wasn't available for cheap, and that way I stored all the different patterns on the project, with shuffles, variations, and such things

ECC style tubes ( 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, etc) are compatible, but I don't think there's much voltage going into them unlike "proper" tube pres. Do you know what tube they slapped inside? maybe it's some other kind and you do the unexpected hehe Besides, I don't think it does much to the sound, I see i...

You can, but I don't really know in Mac ( because of the Au plugins thing)...in windows, at least, you can so it shouldn't be a problem
In preferences, you set a directory where Live's gonna search for plugs, and that's it.
