Re: Let's clean our synths until our eyes melt in their shine
That last picture looks like a heavy fungal infection. Oh, and I only use the finest microfibre cloths to do my damp wiping. They're easy on the parts one does not want to wear down. Like the AN1x paint. For example. (I use the word 'finest' in the hope that I'll come off as a conaisseur in all synt...

Let's clean our synths until our eyes melt in their shine
With spring coming up in a few months, I thought I'd share my favourite tools for the trade of synth cleaning. Excluding regular Q-tips dipped in warm water, here they all are. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive and great for removal of permanent markers. Also, it makes your keys shine. Use the coarse wh...

Receiving a bulk dump on DX7 II-FD
This is causing me nosebleeds. I have a DX7 II-FD with a clean memory, due to a fairly recent battery change. I also have a DX200 filled with factory presets. Now, I want to dump the factory sounds from the DX200 to the internal memory of the DX7 II-FD. I know how to perform a bulk dump on the DX200...

The mail was sent with googlemail from aw-confirm@checkout-ebay.com, and is genuine. As for the rest of the red flags, I'll have my friend check out his place, or suggest a meeting. The last time I asked he declined, saying that shipment was only $30, which also seemed way off. I will keep you updat...

It probably should. Yeah, I should've seen this coming. Even with eBay overseeing the trade, he could've claimed that he sent the Synthi or something like that, I guess. I could give you all tickets to Norway, let you kick my teeth in, and still have more money left after the hospital stay and the e...

Another odd thing was that his english seemed to deteriorate over time. I guess he got sloppy. Coincidentially, I'm going to London in a couple of weeks, no more than a 30-minute walk from his address. I could check it out, and maybe take my slightly buffer friend with me as security. Still, any cha...

"Everybody needs a 303" - Both the title of a Fatboy Slim track and an unhealthy conception "Keytars are ugly" - I agree that most keytars out there are, but the keytar as concept is not ugly in my pretty eyes "I want every synth to come with nice, smooth wood panels (and I eat s**t for breakfast to...
