Anyone have experience with Flatpack?
Looking for solid classic drum machine samples, been looking at the Electronik Drums Pack by Flatpack for Ableton. Have y'all had experience/know anything about them?

Looking to finally incorporate a laptop
I finally bought a decent MacBook and am looking to incorporate it in to my studio, I have a bunch of old synths and drum machines and stuff and this is how I'm looking to use it. In the studio I would be using it mainly as just a sequencer for the gear, with very little if any sounds actually comin...

Re: Roland TB-3 opinions?
Thanks guys, I guess my next question would be, how does the TB-3 sound? The sequencer and effects possibilities, as well as the scatter function seem really appealing to me, but the digital emulation of a 303 kinda worries me.

Roland TB-3 opinions?
I'm considering getting a TB-3 to add to my acid set up which is criminally sans 303, but I do have a Doepfer Dark energy that I trigger with my Machinedrum to get a pretty good emulation. Only problem is the sequencer on the Machinedrum is limited and doesn't have that classic 303 slide. So I guess...

Re: Windows 8 Tablet Midi Controllers
I was thinking a little 8 inch Dell tablet, but now I'm leaning more towards a Surface Pro, simply because I would need more than the 2GB RAM.

Windows 8 Tablet Midi Controllers
So I currently have a set up of several old synths and I have them all being triggered via an Elektron Machinedrum, but I'm considering incorporating an external sequencer in to the set up. My question is, can a Windows 8 Tablet be used as a sequencer, and if so how well? I'd prefer Windows over iOS...

Re: What's a Good Price for a DK Synergy?
It's a Synergy 1, and it comes with a cartridge labeled "Carlos." It's in pretty much mint condition, no cosmetic damage and plays fine.

Machinedrum Output Routing Question
I have a Machinedrum SPS-1 Mk1 and was wondering if there's anyway to retain the internal effects like delay and reverb on a machine that is being routed out of a separate out.

MOTU Midi Express XT Serial question
So I'm considering buying a a MOTU Midi Express XT to map out all my midi stuff, I plan to just use it to control my hardware with other hardware, I don't intend to use it as a computer to hardware interface. However, I've read that in order to create the specific maps and patches, you need to hook ...

Midi mapping question.
So, I've finally narrowed my live set up to three pieces of gear, my Elektron Machinedrum, Doepfer Dark Energy and my Roland JX3P. What I'd like to be able to do is this. Have the Elektron able to sequence both the Roland and the Doepfer. I'd imagine this would simply be splitting the midi signal an...

Re: Midi keyboard for a Dark Energy?
Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Didn't realize you can't control directly via USB. Oh well, guess it's the Alesis for me, The Doepfer's got a built in arpeggiator anyway. Thanks for the help

Re: Midi keyboard for a Dark Energy?
Well, the DE does have USB controll. But I think I'm gonna go with the Alesis any way. Although the Akai has an amazing arpeggiator.

I'm in the market for a small affordable midi controller for my Doepfer Dark Energy, I'm currently debating between the Akai LPK25 or Alesis Q25. What do you guys think?
