Re: My Alesis 3630: Is it a Piece of c**p or am i a piece of stu

well, its not a "great" compressor, but i heard of alot of studios using it as a basic work horse. mine works just fine for what i need it to do. mainly i use it for simple compression duty, and for effect. plug in a source, and then plug in a side chain, great pumping effect. once more check you ha...

Re: [video] Novation Drum+Bass Station (rack) - jas_review002

ah, to be fair. theres "hands on" control, and theres sequencing.

(its electronic music, you trigger the sequence and tweek the sound)

Re: Noisy chorus on Roland synths

yeah, got an Akai ax60 with a chorus like a banshee when its triggered. generally like the noise when im playing it, nice bit of grit, irksome as h**l when the synth is "silent". also, seems to be a common thing with all the 106s i have played around with. maybe try a noise suppression pedal. someth...

Triphop?

try portishead, massive attack. can get pretty jazzy, and rhodes/wurlitzer is a staple of the sound

ax80 - DOA (LA tech/parts?)

ok, so i got a recent ebay win in the mail yesterday. it's in decent condition, cosmetically. a little cleaning up and tlc should put all that to rights, and all the lights work fine, BUT....no sounds come out of it. at all.

anyone else experience this problem? suggestions ?

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there are no companies manufacturing patchbays any more, so you will have to seach the used market. what about MOTUs midiexpress series? Thx for the help, but the questions remains: I don't want control all the units, just a single one using either one the controller...
