krautrock 2010? maybe..
I made Krautrock today. A really good friend of mine is getting his custom furniture business going in Vancouver, BC (http://www.remifurniture.com) and wants to release a promotional video from it. Since videos with no sound are boring, he got me to write some music. this is what came out. http://mu...

I'm pretty proud of it, i think i achieved all the goals i planned on with it. it's faster and rockier than the last EP as well as longer. Re: my new song "realization"
thanks a lot! I'll be posting a link to the full album once it's complete and available online, but I take it you checked out some other stuff on my page too?
I hope you liked what you heard. my last album is the self-titled one. the "fragments" ep is a collection of stuff from over the years.

my new song "realization"
i'm working away on an album, and today i finished the last song. I like it so much that i decided to release the song as a "single" type release before the full album comes out you can listen to (and buy it) here if you like http://musiqueconcrete.bandcamp.com/album/realization?permalink http://ban...

Re: Nord Micro Modular: First Impressions
i agree 100%. I also find it to be one of the quickest ways to program surprisingly, despite the computer interface. eeverything is laid out in front of you.

Re: Nord Micro Modular: First Impressions
my expanded G1 keyboard is the first synth I turn to when programming. I just find it so intuitive to program the modular.
enjoy your micro! I remember I used to own one, and i sold it. a few years later i bought a full G1, and never looked back!

Re: Virus C - Got any tips?
the way i rename patches is, when on the patch you want to rename, just hit STORE, then rename it, and hit Store again. you pretty much just re-save the patch in the same slot, under a new name.

Re: Just saw Crystal Method live
I would rather watch them in front of some synths, than the DJ decks. Miming is what it is. Several of the great respected electronic musicians have done it too. According to some videos, Scott has earlier used the NL2 for some nice distrorted solo improvisations. Who used what gear? I thought Scot...

Re: Just saw Crystal Method live
Just saw them a couple weeks back at the Cleveland House of Blues. I saw: Alesis Andromeda New MicroKorg MS-20 Nord Lead Midi Controller (Axiom?) Hooked up to laptop. I was extremely disappointed at their stage skills. I think everyone realizes that their music is too complex/processed to REALLY pe...

Just saw Crystal Method live
Just got back from seeing the Crystal Method live here in Calgary. good show, lots of old cuts, just a few off the new album (which made me happy as i'm not really digging the new one) some synths i spotted were the A6, Nord Lead 2 right at the front, MS-20, Arturia Origin and some sort of other kor...
