Was the EMS VCS3 putney with tons of delay....NOT the GX-1 as the album came out in '75 and Jones didn't own the GX-1 until '78 or so.

Re: Floyd founder Wright dies at 65

The other thing I was wondering: so was it just the EMS VCS3 Putney that he used on "Dark side of the Moon" as on "Any Colour you like"? It also had tons of delay on it. I think the album sleeve listed only the VCS3 as a synth. I just love that track and the sound he got on it and it worked so well ...

Re: Floyd founder Wright dies at 65

Rick Wright released a solo album in the '70s called "Wet Dream". I never owned it but a friend of mine had it. It must be pretty rare at this point. Anyone have this album?

Re: My new Novation Nova!

Great! Thanks for the posts and the info on the rack ears as mine didn't come with them. This is the Nova Laptop version...the keyboard version is the Nova II. It's living in front of my MIDI controller in front of the computer monitors within easy reach for tweaking. I totally hear you about the po...

My new Novation Nova!

Well, I finally got a Novation Nova. \:D/ Can you tell I'm excited? I've lusted after the Nova for a bunch of years and now you can all join me in welcoming it to my little synth family. It came loaded with the latest 4.1 OS and was seemingly well taken care of by it's previous user. With 3 Oscs, 3 ...

Re: Yamaha A3000 Disk Problems

Sorry to get to you so late! The only thing I can think of is maybe a loose SCSI connection or something. Are you still having problems?

Re: Floyd founder Wright dies at 65

I was lucky enough to see him play with Pink Floyd 4 times and I have the footage of the reunion show at LiveEarth. I've always loved "The great gig in the sky" and his contributions on "Wish you were here". Who knew he was sick? It's just awful. RIP

Very nice of you! Sounds very close to the original.....but just slightly cleaner I think. I just love that sound and consider it to be quite possibly the ultimate pad. I'll be loading it into my sampler.
Do you know any links that I can get any EmuII banks?

Guys, I thought I'd butt in here....maybe you can help me out as I'm looking for the same sample only as either a .wav or .aiff. Not looking for EIII disks as I don't have one. :) You can view my thread here: http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21792. Great video of the BobbyO version, bt...

Let's start out again. How powerful is the computers' cpu? Also, max out the computer with the most RAM it can take, as it's been said.

I have an Alesis QS-6 which was the next step from the Quadrasynth. It uses a "lump in the line" power supply, not a wall wart. I don't know about the inside as I've never opened it up. Sounds to me like the internal battery is dead.
