Re: Access VIRUS prices....

Yeah, I was kind of wondering why Moog Sources, Prodigys, and Rouges were around $500-600ish. That and Roland SH-101 around $450. Yeah, now is the time to buy.

Re: Help, the screen on my Ion is broken!

Ye, double check and make sure it isn't something beside a $160 screen. Check ribbon cables for corrosion, and take a multimeter and check for continuity. Check continuity on all traces leading to the screen. If there're no problems in the traces than run to the screen then logically it must be the ...

Re: Help, the screen on my Ion is broken!

Send a e-mail to Alesis. If you get it direct from them you save a lot of money. When I had my Ion I needed a replacement pot, knob, and 3 screws and it cost about $10 from them. Looked at some other places and they were wanting $10 a knob... Here's the link: http://www.alesis.com/content1024 Under ...

Re: My dream came true today.

You can get a Moog ATA flight case for it from Moog for about $300. Here's the link: http://www.moogmusic.com/accessories/?section=product&product_id=21185 You can get that one, but my friend bought one and it fell apart pretty quickly. It also didn't really hold the synth in place properly Wells t...

Re: Should I be worried?

Meguiar's is better than Armor All, but it's a tad bit more expensive. That or Mother's. But the auto wax brings back moisture, and we all know how important moisture is.

Re: Should I be worried?

I wonder if the seller went overboard in cleaning, using something abrasive on the keys, causing the scratches, and something nasty on the panel, causing the blemishes. Ye, that was what was wrong with my 3P. Some genius thought it'd be a good idea to bathe it in alcohol... That's what those blemis...

Re: Should I be worried?

Maybe he doesn't keep his fingernails trimmed back all the way and that's what scratched the keys? Try using some Armor All, it'll rejuvenate the plastic and paint. What I've done on mine and it's removed things similar to what is on yours. I did that on my 3P when I got it and watched it go from a ...

Re: What keyboard is in this video

But this is an entry-level PCM playback keyboard. Not much different from the Yamaha PSR-48 sitting in my corner, or the PSR-2 at my grandmother's. I don't imagine that they are much different from a Casiotone. Sorry, it's just hard for me to believe that people would use entry-level equipment. Then...

Re: What keyboard is in this video

Actually monolith since you took the subject from plural to singular you should add an "s" to the end of sound. Van Halen sounds, not Van Halen sound... And how many of you are using Casiotones for your music? That's what I thought... But yes, believe it or not I like digital synths. I just ...

Re: What keyboard is in this video

Ye, but Casiotones are super limited and sound like utter c**p. I won't argue with you that analogue synths, when compared to options of a professional level digital synth offer, are indeed quite limited in sonic capability. But it's the sound that matters; to me anyway. Doesn't matter if synth Y ha...

Re: What keyboard is in this video

Ye I know it's the player's skills that make for the sound. But you put Emerson on a Casiotone instead of his Moog Modular something is going to be lacking. Playing Casiotones is like the guitarist playing Walmart's "My First Rock Guitar" or the drummer playing on coffee tins and pie pans, it only s...

Re: What keyboard is in this video

Oh yeah, the old PSR series. Why would you use that in a band? But synths with 49 mini keys are the Casio CZ-101, Casio CZ-230S, and Yamaha DX100.

Re: What keyboard is in this video

Too dark and never shows good enough angle. Being there is a laptop by the drummer I'm guessing they're using soft synths.
