Re: Albino 3 Discontinued

I'm not crying about it. It was a very complex synth, but very little "drive" behind the audio.

Re: Gear Envy.

I guess it also stems from the fact that *serious* artists tend to be absorbed in/by their own music. While you're on your own musical journey, do you really care about what's happening to your right and left? No I dont.. but it's also part of the fun of belonging to a community to me. i'd still wa...

Re: Gear Envy.

Well said, indeed. I think in some strange way, Gear unites us better than music. I think we have less gear choices than musical tastes. I find some people on here interesting, but don't really like their msuic. Some others...I don't even know what they make because I don't click on every sig or bo...

Re: Gear Envy.

then people that slave and slave away over what little gear they have never get any credit for it or their music.. I don't get this. Music leads the way. If your music is good THEN people care about what you use. well yea, but I meant in microcosms like this. very hardly if ever does someone start ...

Re: Gear Envy.

what irritates the c**p out of me is people with huge racks of gear and not a single note of music online. yet you see their pics over and over and eventually someone posts a thread like "have you seen this guys rig  OMG". then people that slave and slave away over what little gear they have ...

Re: Does the Poly 800 mk2 crackle ?

I dont hear any crackling, but I would say the 800s are not know for their exceptionally clean sounds. I've never owned one that didn't have noise somewhere in it except my near mint ex800 i got from a friend.

Re: Windows 7?

I wanted to point out that there seems to be some serious core issues with 7 that people have experienced. This is also with and without legacy hardware. As I noted, most people will be fine running 7, but it's something to be aware of considering Vista was sidelined for 7 when it had the same probl...

Re: Flipping gear

Having kids helps shed some light on the situation  usually when it's my 8 year old the rules are different. i expect him to stick it out, use the cheaper stuff until he gets the hang of it and i encourage him to commit to a decision. I my case, i tend to feel like i'm older, I have more stress...

Albino Bassline programming question

I'm using albino 3 and here's my question. I'm used to using my EM1 to create basslines. I'd pick the saw wave, mess with the slope and glide control and close the filter and it was pretty easy to get a nice pumping sort of psy / trance bassline. I try doing the same thing in Ablbino, using one osci...

Re: oberheim matrix 1000

it would be in real time.

If you're not 100% sure (I know i'm not) that the 1000 doesn't use sysex, it may be worth double checking. that will affect which controllers or programs you can use with it.
