Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

I did a one to one trade with Bohemian86 and everything went extremely smoothly. He packed the synth well and I couldn't be happier with his quick responses by email.
I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

Re: End Titles - Modular G2 show-off

Yeah, that's similar to my setup. Reaper, Nord G2X and Nord Wave...along with other hardware modulars. Good sounding tune. Is this for end titles or just the name of the track?

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I just hope it's not shaped like a circle. I love a lot of the Revolutions features but that layout does nothing for me. The XS is super nice but I felt the FR-777 is still a better machine having all the aggression and sequencer in one box. My bet is it's a Moebius MKII with simultaneous sequencing...

Re: Analog Sequencers and the Ms-20

I use a Monome with a Kenton MIDI>CV box. There's maybe 5-8 apps currently that sequence MIDI and its guaranteed to have more soon. What I'm trying to say is a computer with a VST sequencers or DAW in loop mode with a Kenton MIDI>CV box is pretty limitless. But I also just recently got an MS-02 from...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

Yamaha CS-5 for $25 on craigslist. The dude was bit grumpy that his wife put it up on there and got all these emails. I offered $5 more then they asked to make sure I stood out from the other e-mailers and went to pick it up the next morning. The posting said "Old Keyboard, used to make piano sounds...

Re: Your philosophy in building a studio setup?

JSRockit you say you use your computer as a music machine but also that you have no keyboard, what are you typing with? or does it do voice recognition  I've now gotten pretty close to my idea studio situation.... Tascam FW-1884 (cornerstone) - 8 ins/8 outs - snaked to a patch bay. The patchba...

Re: anyone know what justice uses/ keeps in there studio

I'm pretty sure they would master their disc like Daft Punk with lots of compression side-chained. Look into the Mutronics Mutator http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/mutator.shtml Daft Punk is notorious for that thing. To bad they aren't made anymore. You can get lots of harmonic distortion from just ...

Re: All the versions of the Korg MS2000....

I think the R stands for Rack.
The B stands for Black.
Or else it's that blue-ish color.

I used to have a BR but it doesn't come anywhere near an MS-20.

it's a horrendous clone. the FR is a shitty clone as well. you want a 303? build a x0xb0x or rob a german dude of an acidcode mb303. edit: verbose! You mean ML-303? I've heard one of these and it's really close to the original 303 depending on the builder they could use all the original parts or go...

I keep a mix of analogue and digital hardware available. Digital = SR-16(bent) and MachineDrum Analog = TR-808 and DRM I feel those cover most of the sonic territory I want from machines. But some songs just need a funky drummer and that's where breakbeats and samples come in. Without access to my g...

You're absolutely right about sequencing with it, one of the best 2 osc bassline killers. I've been borrowing a friends indefinitely for those purposes. 8)

Moog Voyager sale

echen007 communicated clearing before the sale and asked all the right questions and paid promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

VSE has become my favorite place to trade cause the fees are priced right. 8)
Also a lot less scammers then craigslist. I'm pretty much done with that site.
