Re: Yamaha Rs7000 vs. Su700
Thanks for the inputs. The akai machines are rather tempting, but I don't need all those pads. And the roland Sp-series lacks the option of assignable outputs. So some arrows points towards the octatrack. But the problem is that, a sampler is not simply playing out clean perfect samples, the medium ...

Yamaha Rs7000 vs. Su700
So, I figured out, that I'm anoyed using hardware effects live, but I do sincerly love them in the studio. And playing live only with computer is not an option. So the question is, wich of these boxes should i go for. I considered the octatrack but the sound from the other Electron machines dosen't ...

Re: Korgwavestation editor?
But does the legacy softsynth send dedicated midisignals to the wavestation? Or is it just my reading that is off the record?

Korgwavestation editor?
I have been searching the net for a long time, for a freeware editor which can be used for controlling my wavestation SR. I don't care if it is a Max/Msp patch or anything, I just don't want to pay motu for a discontinued program, which proberly dosen't run on OS X 10.5.8. So hit me with some editor...

Re: Anyone tried sending CC's with Ableton?
Just make a new midi clip in live, and send cc's via. editing the envelope within the clip. I have done that with my Jomox Xbase 888, and it works perfect. Only problem is the latency, but that's allways a problem.

Monacor eem 2000
Hi VSE,
I just found a Monacor Eem2000 on the local craiglist, and I'm a bit curios about what it can do. There is next to nothing about it on google, so if somebody hsa played around with please give me a hint.

If you can decide it's output, you can use "soundflower" to feed into your DAW.

Ds-8 major problem,
Hi, My Ds8 ran into a/some problems today, when I push a note in the 4th octave of the keyboard (from the lowest to the highest) it will completely change anything. Patch nr, some of the voice parameters, combi parameters, switching portamento on/off etc. So, I'm pretty sure that there is a error cu...

Re: inexpensive interfaces for my laptop
Echo Audiofires have a good rep, the 2 in 2 out one is about $200. Haven't used anything in that price bracket so I can't really give any first hand advice though sorry. I would suggest the same, it got 4 in's and 6 outs with the spdif and headphone. Echo's drivers work without any problems (i use ...

Re: Are you an expert on a specific synthesizer?
I will proberly have to sign up for the korg ds-8, I love it, it´s architecture is simple, but the sounds are quite radical and the timbre of the synth it self pleases me every time I switch it on.
