I find that this eurorack module gives a very Buchla-esque sound, very Morton Subotnick. http://www.analoguehaven.com/planb/model13

The KRK budget versions are one of the best values in my opinion, Guitar Center has regular sales on them. -Acme

Here's analoguehaven's link for the Doepfer stuff: case http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/minicase/ LFO http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/a145/ You would need a mixer module of some sort (such as http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/a138a/ to control intensity, as the LFO will only let you con...

For about $200.00, you could get a Doepfer powered mini-case ($110.00), and a Doepfer A-145 LFO ($90.00). This would also give you the option of adding another 2 or 3 modules down the road, such as a different LFO or ADSR etc. It does have mini-jack out, not 1/4", but you could just use an adapter.

My first synth was a Roland JX-8P, bought new in 1986. Luckily it's long gone, otherwise I'd still be using the "Soundtrack" preset in everything.

I love to share what I know and am always interested in learning new things, hence my motto: "what you give is what you get". I consider myself very lucky to have friends and acquaintances on all these forums as enamored with synths as I am. And if you guys find what I'm writing about useful or int...

Peake, I don't mean this in a confrontational way, but have you played a GX-1? I certainly haven't, but hearing it on Led Zeppelin's "In Through the Out Door", and on Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life"(especially the string sounds on Village Ghetto Land), and also I believe on some songs on ...
