I'm still around. How do you quote previous posts in this new format? Sorry, I'm old and don't like change.
There is a menu button as three dots at the top of a post. Quote is in there.

Re: s950 floppy drive replacement

I thought about going the HxC route but I still have a lot of stuff on floppy disk...I'll still need to get the samples off. Mine is currently still working so maybe I should be doing that!

Re: New to Roland MC-500 advanced questions

SuperMRC was the software for the MC-500 MkII. The MRP was designed for performance and so it was used so settings could be saved for ease of use live. Not sure it will be so useful to you though!

Re: New to Roland MC-500 advanced questions

It's been a long time since I used mine but I seem to remember that you had to use the Super-MRP software to save the info that you want. I'll have to dig mine out.

That's a great introduction to making a drum kit on the S1000. I remember doing it on the S950 so long ago!

Re: Syquest Drives / Disk compatibility (resolved)

Like Zip and Jaz, Syquest were ok but over time had quite a high failure rate. I've lost count of how many of each type of drive have just packed up and stopped working but then you get lucky and get one that works and works. Re: RX-5 as a Sequencer

I used to use my TR-626 as a bassline sequencer ages ago and I have an RX5...never tried using it but I think I might give it a try. It really does more than meets the eye, initially.
