Re: it has begun... (customizing my alesis ion)
I bet you're gonna play a mean version of "Goodbye Horses" when you're done with that synth in the basement.

Re: Aimee Mann on Austin City Limits
It's kind of a throwback to the first two Til Tuesday albums. Those two records have outstanding keyboard/synth work if anyone is interested. I just wish Aimee would break out her wicked slap bass technique once in a while. Thanks for the link!

Re: good overdrive, distorsion for a moog voyager
Run a fulltone OCD into a mixer's efx loop and run the Voyager into a channel. Control the amount of grit from the Aux level. No loss of low end and just the right amount of edge. Since the original signal is still passing you don't suffer the ill effect of running the Voyager straight into the peda...

Re: true bypass loop switch pedals
Great product , bought a 5 loop pedal 3 years ago, works and sounds great . Nothing like turning on 11 efx pedals simultaneously. Also great for getting noisy pedals out of the signal path.

That's what I was afraid of. Once I program it though they should be able to exist without the computer?aredj wrote:You will possibly need a computer to program the behringer first.. unless the learn function actually works for you.. sometimes does, or not.

Re: JX-3P (midi expansion mod) + JX-8P with BCR2000
Hi all, I've read this whole thread and it's been most useful! I'm really interested in combining the JX8P and the BCR2000. From what you all have written I'm gathering I can do this just by connecting the two via MIDI? I'm really trying to avoid bringing a computer into the mix. I appreciate your h...

Re: Headphones or amp
One of the nice things about "amping" is you can take a synth with a relatively weak/noisy output or use a sound that may have too much presence in a mix when used direct and it will just "sit better". I used to accomplish the seating issue with reverb but as I get older and weirder I find reverb le...

Re: Headphones or amp
i've got a bass stack on the way (2x10/1x15) and i'm looking forward to running some huge synth bass through it! When my bass player leaves his Fender 2x10 300 watt combo it kills with my synth running through. Lovely sound. I also didn't realize the power of the Moog bass sound til I ran my LP thr...

Headphones or amp
So tell us what you prefer: your synth played through headphones or an amp and why. I enjoy both but there is nothing like taking my Moog LP and blasting the low end out of my Peavey amp's 15 inch speaker. I prefer to program sounds with headphones, I can tolerate it longer with less ear fatigue. Th...

Re: Synth used on intro of Little Red Corvette?
Besides the Oberheims I believe I read that he would layer a lot of Solina and Farfisa stuff. The opening strings sound like there might be a string machine, the chord stabs later in the song sound alot like Farfisa organ as well as said OBerheims.

Re: Anyway to set the viewing angle on the TG33??
Are you using it as a tabletop or in a rack? When I owned one I used it in a rack and it came with 2 or 3 "angles" based on how you set the removable rack ears. I hope that helps.
