Re: Stage Sequencer: Maschine vs Europa vs Ableton
ok you should be ok with your mac book i use my black one sometimes and its fine , you just have to look after it and keep it lean, as long as its an intel that is. i use a motu no problem , sound isn't the best but rock solid live. i have terrible latency issues with machine on all my macs on and o...

Re: Stage Sequencer: Maschine vs Europa vs Ableton
id go for abelton, i have a machine and don't think it would do what i want for a live set. it would be ok to supplement a dj set up , but i guess it depend on your music. abelton with a controller would bring some fun into it and be the most versatile . i use it with 2 lemurs so i don't have to loo...

Re: Kawai K5000S vs. Novation SL MKII + NI Razor
reading all of that , i'd consider alchemy , its a great additive synth and more . i have a k5000, razor, and alchemy for me for programability and sound id go for alchemy every time , love the k5000 but with out a software programer it's pretty poor to program.

Re: Top Three Must-Have Anologs
Jupiter 8 - I give CS-80 the edge in overall sonic power, but the JP-8 is going to be much more reliable. And also has an untouchable gorgeous tone not understood until played in person. Easily worth over $5K in great shape I'd argue. They're getting rare and are one of the only vintage 'big polys'...

Re: Top Three Must-Have Anologs
tough one... andromeda or matrix12/xpander - 2 of my favourite sounding and most versatile polys arp2600( gray ) or ems vcs3 or a macbeth m5n - modular fun in one box voyager xl - for a really smooth sound and patch memory , not to be over looked in a mono analog( especial live ) for me any that wou...

Re: Question about Fairlight samples
ok got some clips, regards the examples i gave they are all definitely procesed diferently but do possibley share the same starting 'sample' it's the kick that is most odvious. one clip has a few snares in the fill but i would asume they all come from the same source as it was recorded in 86.
