I have a Yamaha TX81z and it has a few cheesy presets, among them church drawbar, farfisa and vox continental. Thin but usable.

but i DO know that all moog in a electronic only mix would be severely limiting and somewhat bland sounding. Facts are facts. Moogs have probably the best tonality (IMO of course) of any mono synth, but if its not modular, it tends to be fairly inflexible. What it lacks in modulation it makes up fo...

Um... a Mini has no MIDI in.
But a Mini has keys, mere fooger pedals don't.
There are keyboard controllers that have CV outs.
I had no idea there were keyboard controllers pre-midi that had cv outs. End discussion.

for a 2osc synth, the korg ms2000b's "reactor pad" patch is f**k lush. yes, i said it.

also the "uni synth" is extremely nice.

My first synth sound was the init piano patch on my Casio MT-500. I still play around with it to this day, haha.

IMHO, the MS2000 is probably an inherently better-sounding synth than the K-station. But the K-station has more onboard effects (including reverb) and greater polyphony than the MS2000. On the downside, the K-station's build quality is rather cheezy, you can't name patches, and I recall the arpeggi...

Thoughts on the Novation K-Station?

I've been in the market for a synth to use mostly for trancey sounds, and the K-Station sprung to mind. Seeing as the V-Station is immensely popular among tranceheads, I figured having the real thing with supposedly better filters would be a winning solution, especially since for a 3-osc VA it consi...
