Re: Doepfer dark energy

Yes, I have one. I preordered it directly from Doepfer in July and had to wait for their second production line to get done. I think it´s a great little synth. It has a lot of stuff going for it for a one osc. synth, and a lot of kool feautres that I haven´t seen before such as high, low and medium s...

Re: im in love with my JX8P

The JX-8P definitely a great synth and I feel it's been kind of a sleeper overshadowed by the Juno series for a good while eventhough it's a two osc. I bought mine some 3 or 4 years ago after having sold my Juno 106. It had a few nonworking keys and I paid aroud $250 for it including the MC-16 from ...

Re: V.Cheap But Good Old Synths....!?? (ie. < $150)

Korg Poly 800? Have never heard one, mind you, but VSE itself says that it is "in many ways better" than the Junos (!), and there's one on my local craigslist for $150 (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/msg/1316286035.html); and another, with non-functioning joystick, for $70! I had a Poly 800 MKII a...

..thanks, yes it would have been kool to be able to switch filters in it, but it is really such a nice sounding and simple synth as is.

Re: Doepfer Dark Energy

8) ....ok, so it arrived. Build quality is top notch. I haven´t played around with it enough yet ( as I also took delivery of an early 80´s Tascam M-35 with M-35 EX 8 channel expander today ), but soundwise it´s very nice. It has that nice raspiness I´ve been wanting since I let my MS 10 go and the ...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

...most of the vintages I have now have been reasonably priced considering where I live. JX-8P, Alpha Juno 1 and a D-50 for about $250 a piece. I also paid the same for a Nord Lead 1 and got my DX7 MKI for about $200. I also passed on a JX-10 last week for around $140 as I am a little pressed for sp...

Re: your drum machine

When I'm working within ProTools I usually use Transfuser. Otherwise I'm always using my MPC 2500. There's just something about the MPC line that's hard to beat for me. They just sound great and have rock solid sequencing and swing.

Re: Know of any MC 303 Mods?

I had one too and I could not find any use for it. Not even as a playable module. I just never liked it. After I got my MPC and had no use for the 808 sounds no more it actually went in the garbage due to space issues. I didn't even consider selling it. I'm not proud of it but there, it's out. :shoc...

Doepfer Dark Energy

I just placed my order for one of these. Looks pretty kool to me, I keep convincing myself that it´ll be a nice replacement for the MS 10 I sold a couple of years ago #-o . Apparently there´s going to be a few weeks before they are ready to ship their second production series. So in all breifness; a...

Does anybody know and if (gloriously) so where I might be able to get a new joystick for my D-50?When I recieved the one I bought the top part of it was missing!! As if previous owner t...
