Yeah I thought as much myself, I'm just hoping that the current holes will line up with the 909 inlet covers screw holes. Hard to tell from the image, won't know until I get hold of the 909Explorer wrote:I'm afraid when removing this, you will get stuck with 2 holes.
Unless your powercord inlet covers those.

Re: TR-909 - weird, attached, power cable
it was more a case of bringing the machine to its stock appearance etc rather than necessity. Usually when I get a machine that has been changed in such a way I tend to think the worst. In addition this 909 isn't in the best condition, so I tend to connect that to this change. I May have gotten luck...

Re: Is it just me, or is the 707 everywhere these days?
I like the 707 sounds a lot. I was about to pull the trigger on one on Friday, but stumbled upon a 909 that same evening. I actually passed up on 707 last December that was in great condition and a great price. So been feeling like I need to redeem myself ever since

Re: TR-909 - weird, attached, power cable
Thanks guys,
Yeah I intend to swap it out for the regular connector. Just hoping everything is in working order really.
What was odd was that I felt like I had seen this specific unit somewhere online, but could just be my mind playing tricks.

TR-909 - weird, attached, power cable
Hey, has anyone ever seen a 909 with this kind of power supply?
I assume its been replaced, but can't help but think I've seen this same 909 somewhere recently...

Re: Underground Resistance
Haha, very late to the game.
Oddly enough, although excellently done, I find their live stuff nowadays is too far removed from the reason why I originally liked them.
However, it's always good to see someone gaining an interest in UR regardless.

Re: Moog Mother 32 Eurorack synth voice
A little unfair to use so much reverb, but it is still an interesting video of the features etc.

Re: Moog Mother 32 Eurorack synth voice
I think this is the machine that has me break my 'no-buying' pledge....
The Avalon came close, but I think this could possibly push me over the edge.
Looking forward to seeing/hearing the finalised specs.

Re: Rossum Electro Music - E-Mu coming back?
I read a the translated versions, which were very interesting. The last part in particular gave me the sense that he is interested in furthering some very original ideas, so hopefully that is what we will all get to see in future. I think with the whole 'analog revival' of the moment, innovation is ...

Re: Yamaha Reface
They are starting to look more like a Casio product with each reveal. Now I understand why they wanted to try and deflate the 'like a toy' concepts in the hype videos. It seems odd to tie these big synth and piano emulations to such a toy like product. Especially considering the size of the CS80 and...

Re: Yamaha Reface
I think the concept of a 'teaser' is so overly exploited nowadays that it has no real impact...
At this point, it's quite clear that its gonna be a CS80 patch set for the dx100, and it comes with a custom skin for the dx100 that gives it a CS look.

Didn't a similar thing happen not so long ago and turn out to be nothing special. I swear it was also concerning moog.

Re: New stuff from Roland!
I just saw this myself on the roland site, €75 is a bit pricey, but they have added some new sounds (other than 707/727), plus more accent and flam options from the 707 and 909. I still use the Tr8 a lot to add extra sounds to my tracks, so this is a welcome addition. Hopefully we'll see more of the...

Re: TR-909 for Cheap?
While one may pop up eventually, I doubt it any time soon. The 808 and 909 pricing is all about over inflation nowadays. The 909 is my probably my favourite drum machine, but the pricing lately is just beyond ridiculous for anyone seeking to use one regularly. I tend to prefer the 909 model on the t...
