oops damn

well, it isnt as pointless as making 3 different topics asking if anybody here was the one that bought a juno in australia, and not quite as pointless as having a second account named 'Psy-Nox Ghost', but it is getting there. Undoubtedly VSE admin was the one that unbanned your account after I bann...

1 lead-mono

Yeah, the one lead means mono unless it has a TRS jack. Must everyone have a reason why they ask a question on here? I had a perfectly good reason why I asked it and as bland as the question was there was more to it, I simply did not go into it because I did not want it to go rambling on. It seems t...

not pointless

why would that matter? did you join this forum to simply ask the most pointless questions you can think of? Actually, it is not pointless at all. There is a reason behind everything I say. You may find it pointless because you have no interest in the subject. For you to say something such as that, ...

Pink Floyd synths (stereo or mono)

Hi everyone Does anyone know if guest session keyboardist Jon Carin of Pink Floyd used his synths in stereo out or mono out configuration? The reason why I ask is cos I have a video of Floyd playing at Knebworth, 1990? and back then Jon Carin is using a Roland D50 and a Korg M1, I can see on the fo...

The A3/4/5k have, what, a decade on the ASR-10? I think it'd be pretty safe to say that the yamaha boxes are going to be a lot truer to what you're sampling than the ASR. Whether that's a good thing or not... Yeah, you would hope that that the Yamaha A range would be alot truer to what is being sam...

Ensoniq ASR10 Vs Yamaha A5000

[/b]Hi sampler folk, I am requesting your opinions for your likes and dislikes between the Ensoniq ASR10 and the Yamaha A4000, A5000 rack samplers along with the newer generation such as the Motif ES 's. I am asking about AD and DA converter sound quality. I pretty much know what each sampler is cap...

Cutting Crew Synth Sound

Hi everyone. Everyone would have to know that song called "I just died in your arms tonight" by Cutting Crew. Does anyone know what synth was used for that chiffy sound that is the main synth riff?

thanks

D50 emulators

Yes the Mo6, I have also seen names of patches of say roland synths pop up in other synths screens, especially the TB and OB letters. The digital native dance sound that I wanted to get was just the first 2 and a half seconds..you know, the DoOoOOng the whiiirrrsh but not have the loop in there. I w...

D50 chatter

Well, everyone, thanks for that. I feel the full bottle now on the D50. I had the use of one back in 1989 when a relative went away and did not want to leave it in his house alone. It ended up getting sold to some guy who was playing in a church group and then went to Melbourne and sold it too. Melb...

Roland D50 PCM waves &other ROM synths

Hiya all. I have a question for those who are clued up on the Roland D50 LA synth. I am just confused about something. The D50 has those one shot and attack transient PCM waves...I believe that the PCM wave is the very start of the sound such as the chiff of a flute and then the LA synth part susta...
