Re: My D-50 bank is finished! (with download!)
I am trying to play the audio link in the OP but can't. Is it just me? It just gets stuck on buffering. Is anyone able to play it? I am very curious about this sound set!

Re: Opening synth sound for Erasure's Victim of Love
OK, that makes sense I guess, because part of the reason I ask is that I am not sure if I have ever heard an analog synth make that stringy type of sound. I came here to ask you experts. So anyone disagree that it is not possible to make such a sound from an analog subtractive?

Opening synth sound for Erasure's Victim of Love
I am not sure what kind of sound it is, perhaps a string type sound? Sounds like pizzicato on a violin? But it might not be.
I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to program such a sound. I am assuming something close or similar can be programmed on any standard 2 osc subtractive?

Re: The One(s) That Got Away
I bought a Memorymoog in 1995 using my friend's credit card for $1100. After a few months, I was unable to come up with money to pay him back so I sold it for $1400.

My 2 cents after playing with the blofeld. 1) Interface seemed a bit sluggish 2) There seemed to be some random bugs here and there, like the LFO not modding the filter consistently, though that could have been user error. 3) DO NOT attempt to scratch the words or anything painted on the panel. It s...

Is there something wrong with my voyager?
eta: woops! I just remembered that this forum might not allow this type of post here...please move if it is not allowed... My pure triangle wave, on all 3 osc, seem to 'leak' in the saw wave. As if I need to turn the wave knob even more to the triangle, but it is already fully counter-clockwise. Doe...

After further research, I think I have found the answer to what might be 'better', or at least similar. One of my main goals is that rich deep warm sounding bass. I think I have found that between MOTM, Oakley, and possibly dotcom, I can build a modular that will give me a sound that will come close...

Does anyone know where there is a high res photo of the module version? http://www.dsisynth.com/photos.htm Perfect! thanks. Does anyone know if there is a way to trigger the 'gated' sequencer without a midi controller connected? Or to hear anything? A preview button? How about the hold/latch button?

Using Youtube's abhorrent sound quality as a guideline - and even a video that records using a mic instead of a direct line in? If you want to make it an honest test - you'll need something better than that ;). https://www.moogmusic.com/members/?section=files&file_section=3&cat_id=49 Listen in part...

Convince me that the minimoog isn't the best!!
After a lot of research and listening, and after owning a minimoog years ago, I STILL believe in my head that no other synth, including the voyager, and anything that tries to emulate the minimoog can come close in terms of fatness, thickness, warmth, and overall awesome killer sound. Can anyone hel...

from first hand experience, imo model D eats voyager alive. vyg can be made ot sound alike, but only sometimes. overall character is different. Wow, you are right! I just listened to this comparison test. No way, I'll ever get a voyager now. Not even close... https://www.moogmusic.com/members/?sect...
