Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread
Settle down. While no one wants to feel like a transaction is going bad, I can vouch for a lot more than $200 in sales with Space6oy. He's got a thread posted about dealing with some unexpected health emergencies. I'd suggest emailing him and waiting for him to reply. Good suggestion but how long w...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread
NEGATIVE: SPACE6OY Where is my $200? Are you ever going to refund my money from the shipping claim you said was refunded to your "business?" I'm sure this will be deleted because he's a mod but RIGHT NOW I HAVE HOVE NO DX7 AND AM OUT $200. MAJOR FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE, DOES NOT READ PRIVATE MESSAGE...

Re: SCI Drumtraks vs SCI Tom
I have no experience with the Tom but have a drumtraks. With the traks you can burn your own sounds to eproms and easily swap them out with zif sockets. The whole burning setup will cost around $140 or so to get you started. Plus the sequencer has a nice lazy feel, can't speak for the tom. Depending...

Scroll about 34 way down. Don't do the paint, it will just fail again after about a year. This is the way to go.
Edit: oops, don't know about the strips straight up...

A friend of mine archived all the sound demos available when that site was still going. Good move.

Re: Invitation for a REAL Synth Shootout - Polysix vs. Polys
I'd be more inclined to meet up in a more casual but public setting to be honest. Kinda like what sequentialsoftshock organized in Philly. The venue where it was held looked like it had a lot of space to set up and was comfortable to move about.

Re: Chopping up samples on the Emax?
Thanks for the tip on the Sampletrak. I was intrigued by it so I bought on off eBay for just under $100 shipped and it's surprisingly great! I dig most of the effects too, the phaser has that french house quality to it, not as good as the DP/4 but still good for in the box. I kinda dig this thing a ...

Re: Invitation for a REAL Synth Shootout - Polysix vs. Polys
I'm in ATL and have a P6. I installed MIDI but that shouldn't affect the audio board. I haven't calibrated it but a friend of mine also has one, calibrated, restored, etc., and mine always sounded better regardless. What kind of audio path upgrades did you perform?

Re: Again: Juno or Polysix?
I like my polysix but it has a very "organ-ish" character overall. Pretty good stringer though and the SSM filters are lovely, maybe my favorite. I agree that the Juno is better as an all-arounder. You can use just the Juno to create every sound in a track and it will cover it's bases better than th...

Re: Juno-106 chip trouble
Just take the voice board out and send it to the synth spa. Cheap, easy and he will calibrate it for you as part of the deal. Alan is a good guy to deal with!
