Re: So... Korg Wavestate is out of the bag... reactions?
I was surprised when I saw the Wavestate had 2 GB of sample ROM and I hope it leads to new entry-level ROMpler synths having more ROM as well. Suddenly my Yamaha MX 49 and Korg Kross II seem very under-spec'd.

If it's a .mid file then you can use a freeware sequencer such as Jazz-4.1.3 to load it.

Re: Have you ever abruptly discovered a new feature on a syn
A trick I recently discovered that isn't in the manual for the E-Mu PK6 (and this would work for any of the Proteus 2000 series of modules if you use external arpeggiation since I don't think the modules have an arpeggiator) is somewhat of a work-around for the limitation of having to re-key a note ...

Re: Red Sound EleVAta
If I remember correctly, the EleVAta was produced in fairly low numbers - I'm thinking no more than 500. If that's true then at least you have somewhat of a rarity but I may be off on the number I quoted above.
(My Redsound DarkStar XP2 would also lock up from time to time.)

Re: CS1x inside the Yamaha DJX ?
@ meatballfulton: You can also use the freestanding "AN Expert Editor" for the AN200. If you need a copy I could check to see if I still have the zipped install file.

Yes, I still have my Yamaha DJX MK1 (my first consumer synth and now on loan to my nephew) and a Novation A-Station purchased in April 2002.

Re: Any love for the Roland Juno 60?
Another bit of love for the Juno 60 is that for people that want to have a keyboard that is exactly the same as what was used on countless hits from the 80's then the Juno 60 is just that and also attainable although somewhat pricey these days.

Re: Any love for the Roland Juno 60?
The Juno 60 PWM is nice sounding so that's a praiseworthy feature. I got mine years ago for a low price so I have no post-purchase regret.

Re: ISO RSDSXP2KB
I don't know of an XP2 keyboard ever being produced, not even a mock-up, but of course I can't say that with 100% certainty.

Re: Calling all Korgheads and Tritoneers! Question!!
I don't *think* the Triton has polyphonic aftertouch. (Please correct me anyone if that's not correct.)
A fairly inexpensive keyboard that does have it is the Ensoniq SQ-80 but that might not work for you if you want a more modern workstation.

Re: Men Without Hats
rest is Prophet-5 - the lead most certainly is the famous sync preset in unison mode. I didn't know the P5 could sound so nicely "harsh"! Sort of off topic, but I wonder how many of the earlier new wave bands could AFFORD such gear, being in their 20s/early 30s? Were many of them independently weal...

Nice Demo!
I bought a Poly 800 a few years back that unfortunately has never powered up - This has made me want to get it fixed!
