Re: Korg Wavestation Firmware OS v3.19

Why not just buy the upgrade here, the price seems very reasonable.

Thank you Different Generation for your reply, and I hope my comment wasn't too blunt. :)

Last night, I did a search on YouTube for the examples you listed, and I also would definitely rule out the Wavestation.

Re: What is this synth (probably from early 2000s or late 90

Really, I mean it. Does anyone know the exact patch of the sound? I laughed because I think you are high maintenance. :wink2: Two people provided you with information and you never said thank you, and then come back and want to KNOW the exact patch. I dunno, maybe it's a generational thing. :dontkn...

Re: Modal (Modulus) Goes Insane at Messe: three new synths

Is it just me? I haven't been impressed with Ben Crosland's patches for the OO2 and now these two demos of the 008. I have heard some demos of the Modulus 002 on YouTube by users which I really liked. I liked the demos I've heard for the Prophet 6 better than what I heard today, but then again the 0...

Re: What should I buy?

They also mentioned the Juno 60 AND a Pro 2 for the same money.
The Sub 37 is just one of the options.
I REALLY REALLY like what I've heard coming out of the Pro 2, and I would argue to purchase that and something else if they're still on the fence about the MiniMoog.

Re: What should I buy?

Don't buy the minimoog based on an investment.
You obviously KNOW how it sounds, what it's capable of doing and how it would fit into your music.

Take the investment part out of the equation and buy it because you want it, if not the sub 37 and Pro 2 are great alternatives.

Re: Synth Defects - Ticking Time Bombs

What a great thread, perhaps we could consider making it a sticky . Korg Prophecy: the L/R output jacks. The output becomes intermittent over time and eventually will cut out completely. I've had 3 of these over the years, and every one of them will either have this problem or develop it. Korg must'...

Re: Lexicon PCM91 versus Lexicon MX300/MX400

I have the MX300, it's pretty good for the reverbs - halls, gates, plates etc, the delays i'm not into on it though, can be a bit fiddly with having to turn the dial to get a correct bpm/tempo for your delays - time consuming and it's often never spot on or what you wanted in the first place. I hav...

Re: Korg Might Be Up To Something.

Thanks for clarifying your comment with personal experience.
I wasn't sure if it was someone just venting on a forum about Korg's products as we see so often.

Another reason I asked is I have the Korg Odyssey and haven't noticed any inferior build quality with it.
