A Moog IIIp reissue?
I've been seeing this on Matrix, Vintage King, etc. for a few days. Apparently, Moog Music is reissuing the IIIp--40 units @ $35K each. No mention of this on the Moog site. Does anyone know if this is for real?

He passed last Thursday at age 84.

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
I've probably mentioned this before, but I had the opportunity to work with Shirley Walker several times in the late 70s to early 80s. An awesome player with incredible jazz chops, and one of the most genuine people on the planet. She once told me when she was in the Bay Area, she met George Duke: "...

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
My favorite Mark Isham score has to be the one he did for the horror flick The Hitcher (1986), awesome stuff! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8D7s4hPv4I YES!!!! My favorite cue is Cars and Helicopters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trMFFwYYyGY And another personal Isham favorite is Skydive from ...

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
Put this on last night for my teenage daughter to show her that sci-fi doesn't begin and end with Dr. !%$%^ Who. The score is a combination of orchestral/electronic. My favorite cue is @ 25:37. Laurie Spiegel has a credit for "sound special effects". Does anyone know if she used the Alles synth? htt...

Re: Simple recording audio with video capture question(s)
So in theory I should be able to take sound output from my mixer and feed it to the mic input on the camcorder? I do that with my Canon T3i. I use a stereo cable with 1/4" plug on one end that plugs into the mixer's headphone output and 3.5mm plug on the other end that plugs into the camera's exter...

Re: What do you make of Pink Floyd's new album?
Meddle all the way. 'Meddle' doesn't do it for me, except for 'Echoes 'and 'One Of These Days'. You know that's about 2/3 of the album, right? ;) DSOTM was a revelation to me. Me too, until I heard Money for the 75,000th time on radio. It's all good, whatever floats your boat. Just one man's opinio...

Re: What do you make of Pink Floyd's new album?
IMHO, I think DSOTM was their last effort that had any real merit--and it's been played to death. Then they became an arena band. I saw them in the fall of 1970, and it was Ummagumma and Meddle all the way. Those are, I think, touchstone Floyd albums--what made the band unique. Recycling old materia...
