Re: New Sequential Prophet-5 Rev. 4
Sounds like an authentic Prophet 5 revision, as some people have said, from the slightly later around 1980/Memorymoog era instead. Cool !

Re: Modern alternative to Arp Omni 2
The silky-rich sound of the Omni is very hard to emulate, but as far as modern simikar instruments go , as the first paraphonic analog for so many years, the Behringer VC340 could be worth a try out ! ;.)

Re: would you trade a juno-106 and korg polysix for a roland
I would, as long as the promars is in good and perfectly, or in near-perfectly working condition. Some of those go for a lot nowadays, becsause of the relationship to the Jupiter 4, and although less programmable than the earlier two synths, I think the sound is much richer. However, with it being a...

Re: My dad invented this synth in the 70s....
Looks like an interesting, well made documentary. There should be Trent Resynator version :D He was one of the first people I thought about for this project for that exact reason! haha. I met him once briefly at a concert and tried so hard to casually pitch him the project and really emphasized the...

Re: Korg is what i went with........
Korg is a great brand and tradition I think ; have a 30-year old Korg Trident and brand new Minilogue and love them both ! Only thing I hope is that they come up with a new and more interesting workstation - maybe a half analogue one ..

Re: KORG Prologue
Love the sound of this thing. A lot of character, and a ton of low end. a joke?Have you heard anything like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlfV_fupqWA Not comparing like with like there - none of it's competitors sound like that either tbh. Plus I reckon it actually has more* of the bass end...

Sounds a lot like something like this :

.. then layered with a polysynth, either analog or hybrid, or digital emulating an analog, all heavily processed with software effects, and possibly some hardware ones too.

Sounds a great price for that quality of sound ! :,) Great luck with the project - at this rate I'll want to be at the front of the queue !

Re: New polysynth project - now with 8 voices & bitimbrality
Some of the sounds in that first video are *fantastic* ! Brilliant ! If you mass produced this , and it turned out to be reliable, you'd have a synth and sound to compete with anyone on the market, no question . Are you going to start making it available for pre-order, or is it all a bit early for t...

Re: Roland RS-505 Paraphonic Strings - Modern Equivalent?
not sure why the OP is looking for something still in production, so not pushing the issue. To follow up to the OP, parpahonic analog string ensemble synthesizers are no longer made because they are considered archaic. They can only do a small range of sounds compared to a true polyphonic synthesiz...
