The BCR200 is great and you can program it to send sysex messages on the encoders (not just the buttons). So you can have a stand alone setup with a preset on the BCR2000 for each synth (assuming you have less that 32 synths :) ) There is a lot of extra stuff you can do that you won't find on the Be...

I've had mine for a couple of years now and I have found it to be great. I have written presets that output sysex (on the encoders as well as the buttons) for a couple of rack synths and a Korg DW6000. Having access to a lot of the synth controls when playing live reminds me of my old JP8 (pity I so...

Korg M1 Service manual

My Korg M1 has been flooded.
I stripped it and dried it out and some of it is working.
Anyone know where I can get a pdf the service manual from? (ideally free)

(I've checked the 'sticky' site mentined here but that only had the owner manual)

The BCR and BCF200 only 'learn' sysex when it it has a fixed value. CC 07 value 100 for instance and pressing the button just outputs that message. $B0 $07 $64 $B0 $07 $64 $B0 $07 $64 $B0 $07 $64 $B0 $07 $64 So the front panel 'learn' is fairly limited. It is the only way to send sysex that Behringe...

For those just starting to solder... Use really thin resin filled solder - get a roll, as it is so thin it gets used up quickly but it is really easy to use and effective and you pay for it by the weight anyway. Don't use hardware stuff unless you are soldering up a leak in your guttering. If the tr...

I agree, get an iron with a small tip with a flat end not a point, around 3mm. Low wattage is OK for printed circuit board work, but if you are soldering cables and plugs and you have a low powered iron the heat is 'sucked' out of the iron and becomes too cold to melt the solder. The more power the i...

We have started to build up a few presets for real time editing of hardware synths.
If you manage to get one going it would be great to if you could store a copy there.
Any questions about BC unit/software I'd be happy to try and help.

Hi Guys , new to this forum, but I would like to say that the BCR and the BCF CAN put out variable MIDI messages and that includes sysex. I have witten presets for my BCR200 for the FantomX (hardly vintage, sorry) , my Korg DW 6000, Roland XV-3080 and EMU Morpheus all using varying sysex strings and...
