you can only sync the sequencer of the jx to a drum machine, AFAIK

this is why you don't midify an 808, just use the internal sequencer.

You could try the A/B switch from a tr-808, I think it's the same one.

The Ecler's are the best bang for buck IMO.

most old synths do this, just turn the pot really fast for a few minutes and it should go away. if not it's no big deal, you record/play at the same volume anyway
