Thought I might put this here. I finally found a set of the SYN WAVE 2 cards on eBay for a reasonable price and made this little "demo" of some of the sounds last night.

Re: Prophet 6
Then I played the Pro2 for 30 minutes under headphones. It is also amazing, but in a different way. The two together would RULE ALL OF SYNTHDOM ! Within a few seconds of playing both at the same time, I'm pretty sure we would make first contact with the Vulcans or something. This is what I like to ...

THEO - synth-laden prog rock
Here's the new project I've been working on for the last three years. Lots of synth goodness in there. It opens with a low drone from Alchemy and then some strings from the Andromeda. Other keys used include real Hammond organ / Leslie, piano, the Korg MonoPoly plug, lots more Alchemy, HALion Sonic ...

I played one at NAMM. It sounds amazing. Also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Doty, a very gracious and nice person.

It needs to be SCSI. They are available on eBay now and again. I have a compact flash SCSI card reader installed on my EX5r. Far superior than ZIP.

Re: Traditional Analog sounds for SY77 SY99
Not to defend the guy on eBay selling the SY99 for $999, but pretty much every SY77/99/TG77 needs at the very least a backlight replacement by now and that's not an easy or quick job. If you're going to go through all the trouble to replace the backlight, it just makes sense to replace the entire sc...

Re: Traditional Analog sounds for SY77 SY99
Well I give up my aversion towards Yamaha´s interfaces :D Maybe I got sick of those numerical pads and screen after using several of them on 90ies... I just always missed some soft knobs under that screen... and after getting a Vsynth, I became kind of lazy with vintage workstations and their way t...

Re: Hello, and here's quite an unusual tune with moogs
Bass clarinet is probably my favorite woodwind instrument. I'm in the initial planning stages of a jazz organ / vibes / bass clarinet project at the moment.
How's that EP coming along?

Andromeda - 16 outputs - randomly panned
What does it sound like when you utilize the 16 individual outputs (one for each voice) on the Alesis Andromeda and then pan them randomly around the stereo field? Why, it sounds like this! https://soundcloud.com/b3groover/16-output-andromeda The above was an experiment just to test if my homemade i...

Re: Traditional Analog sounds for SY77 SY99
Hey, that's my picture of the SY99! :) Actually it's the SY77 on top and the SY99 on the bottom. It´s an extense, formidable synth to create many sounds, but Yamaha never invested enough to design a proper interface to get an easier access to most of its parameters. They just implemented a generical...
