I Can See Clearly Now

I would be curious to know your opinions on what keyboard is being used for the horn parts for the 70's hit, "I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash.

Kate Bush Running Up That Hill

Which one of the Fairlight presets do you guys think is used for the holding chord that runs the entire length of "Running Up That Hill?"

Was using my Prophet-5 last night. Bought it in '81. Still works great.

Re: Dealing With Prophet 5 Midi and OS X

four and a half years later and still haven't figured it out. wish i could find an osx software which would at least show the unfinished midi sysex message. there was an old pc app which could convert the cassette audio into sysex, but no mac version. maybe a script could be written that adds the f7?

Re: Roland JV 1080 Crackling Analog

i have this problem on one of my 1080's as well. sounds like one of the voices goes bad, and there's this huge sound of digital distortion. meanwhile if you keep the polyphony down it doesn't occur, plus, as you said, it's only on certain sounds.

Re: Steve Winwood and the Multimoog

my favorite winwood solo is the solo in 'low spark of high heeled boys,' which sounds kind of like a sax, but i suspect is a b3 put through distortion of some kind. the last, dissonant holding note which ends the solo and begins the end of the song is f'ing awesome. anyone have any insights into how...
