Just real poly analogues please. No VAs. I've decided that my computer shall handle the VA stuff.

Re: What got you into synths?

Here's the short version in chronological order: - 80 child (born in the late 70s) - I loved only the electronic music, since traditional rock etc. sounded dull to my ears back then - especially Jarre, Vangelis and the producers SAW made a big impression on me - I loved playing all kinds of melodies...

Re: Looking for new polyphonic analogue synth

The reason I didn't list Alesis Andromeda A6 in the list (even though it sounds fabulous to my ears) is that they aren't manufactured anymore. I can't get a new one :( Even though the DSI and SE poly synths are very capable, theres something in their sound character which doesn't please me enough to...

Looking for new polyphonic analogue synth

I'm planning on buying a new polyphonic analogue synth. The only problem is that there doesn't seem to be many companies who still manufacture such beasts. What are my options? I know the following manufacturers still make poly analogues: Dave Smith Instruments Studio Electronics ...and... that's it...

Re: A modular filter bank?

Analogue Solutions SY02 is an accurate clone of the MS20 filter. Highly recommended! It's the best clone of this filter. It sounds like the original, at least that's what people are saying who own the thing and a real MS20. Analogue Systems RS500e is the real EMS Synthi filter. Doepfer A-124 is pret...

Real analogue synth from Korg: what would you buy?

As Korg has finally released a real analogue synth (even though it's extremely limited in features and usability), it might be possible that they release a proper analogue synth in the future. Just in the spirit of making some market research by us end users: What would be the feature set & price po...

Calm & melodic track - Distant 7pm

I just finished my new track. This time it's melodic and calmer compared to some of my other tracks.

Breakbeats done with my Eurorack analogue modular synth

Made in two evenings. All synth sounds are coming from my Eurorack analogue modular synth and all the drums are from Battery 3. Logic Pro 9 was used for sequencing, recording and editing.

Modular synth test

Just wanted to share one of my very first tests on my new eurorack modular setup (arrived yesterday). Z3000 oscillator --> Wasp Filter What you're hearing is one oscillator creating a bit more complex wave (thanks to Seq. Switch A151) which alternates between triangle wave and pulse wave (PW set to ...
