The 80s version was made using a Yamaha CS80. So grab one of them and you're set! :-)

Re: I've sold my Micron and regret it!

It depends what purpose it served. I have recently purchased an Ion (it hasn't arrived yet) but it's purpose will be for exploring for tones. I'm planing on using it like an audio scalpel. Plus, it's a damn fine sounding synth! But it's the control over the sound and the great affordability that dre...

Hello Nickeax - for future reference, rather than starting a new follow-on topic to a previous thread (in this case, your thread about having bought one), it's best to post in the original thread, rather than starting a new one. Multiple threads about the same subject are frowned upon on VSE, you s...

Demonstration of the Roland Jupiter 6

This synth is not very well like, but I rate this as an all time favorite. So much fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWUzsqJLCh8 I feel very lucky to be the one to have purchased this machine, check out these photos of the immaculate condition she is in. http://www.guitaraustralia.com/j1.JPG http:...

What an amazing synth! Mine is in near pefect condition too. It's hard to describe some of the textures and tones I've been able to get, with only an hour or so with it.

If anyone is interested, I'll give a good demo of her.

It's just amazing!

So I've added a Jupiter 6 to my collection...

I'm picking it up tonight! What can I expect? I remember playing a Juno 6 back when I was much younger and didn't know what I was doing, but I loved the sound!

This will hopefully complete my synth line up. :-)

Speaking from experience, I can't fault any Yamaha product. You always seem to get 'more' with their gear. Take the QY-70 for example! As for the DX-7, I can't really say. I've only owned one for one day and am halfway through the manual. But from this, it looks like one of the most interesting toys...

Everything is repairable... given the time and your patience. Try to look for the service manual online (I've seen it a few times). That would be a start. As soon as I've got a minute, I'll try to come back to you Thanks a lot mate. I have ordered a replacement filter chip for a few dollars, I'll h...
