Handel Phatty

...homage a Carlos, a little Handelian overture done on Moog Little Phatty... 8 tracks, each played live, so no quantization, etc, etc. Such a nice synth to operate in performance.

Re: casiotone 1000p

...yeah, but do ya still have the incredible 80s chrome stand that went with it?... I use the 1000P in a band for a few years... along with a Boss chorus pedal to fatten it up for all those wedding ballads.... :(

Re: Anyone regret getting Voyager Old School?

...it's all in how ya play 'em... coming from a classical background, I gotta tell ya, this ballyhooing about "it doesn't sound like a Model D" is kinda silly... I've worked with string players whose violins and cellos ALL sound different from each other... and THEN, when someone else plays their in...

Re: The end of the Moog Voyager OS

...slightly O/T... but you know what would have made the OS really amazing?... if it didn't have a plastic keyboard... I'm a pipe organist, and, man, I've played some absolutely beautiful looking, and great feeling keyboards...they would be at home on any quality synth... they are, however, expensiv...

Re: Moog little phatty not making sounds/knobs not responding!

...i fried my I/O MIDI board on my new LP II... must have been excess static electricity... in any case, I contacted Moog directly (from the contact info on their site) and they very quickly offered to either fix it, or exchange the board only... I received the replacement from them and installed my...

recording MMV

hi all, ... for some reason this is not obvious to me... and i'm pretty experienced with this stuff, so it's a little embarrassing! .... using Arturia MMV within the Sonar environment, I'd like to just be able to hit record and mess around using the mouse to unplug and plug in patch cords, hit switc...

although its a pretty general question, I think what he's getting at is which synths would be more likely to survive, say, a typical gig without breaking down... the DX series were rather tank-like, so if you like that sound, it's one place to start. I remember that the P5 was used during the nation...

yes, try it first w/o the computer... check to see if the Matrix has a parameter for DEVICE ID or something like that... also if it has a LOCAL CONTROL on/off.... my old Matrix 6 did, but it may not be needed on the rack module M1000. make sure your controller keyboard is set either to OMNI or Chann...

mp

i had an MP till last May... (sold it to finance a new Moog LP)... you'll enjoy the MP... yes, it has the CV connections you need... as well as an additional CV input for the filter cutoff... I used to control it over MIDI using a Kenton Pro-Solo... worked fine. Be aware that the MP uses a different...

... i would imagine a replacement display will be needed, as the old one probably can't be "fixed"... I believe the poster a few entries above provided a source for this type of electronic part.. a really good electric hobbyist could probably recognize the type/ or even model of that required displa...

...the tech was located in Anaheim, CA... I believe he was well known at the time... I remember that he complained about the closeness of the circuitboards of the M6, in response to my observation that the M6 outputs low-level signal from it's VCA even when not played...well, that's what I remember....

i'm on my second display in my M6... I think I replaced it in '96, actually....I think the tech took one from another dead M6... BTW, do you ever use a pedal in the PEDAL 1 input? Ican't get any of my pedals to work there (an Moog EX cv pedal; which I didn't think was going to work... and a Yamaha F...

oberheim pedal

Hi all, really enjoy the forum... now a quick question for you owners of OB-Matrix 6.... I'm VERY familiar with this instrument (had it since it was released) ... but since I haven't used it in a while, only just now getting back into it... (it makes a nice complement to my new Moog...) .... anyway,...
