Re: Survey on Analog vs Virtual Analog Synths

I played. But rather than a straight-forward test, I felt it was deliberately trying to trick the listener into picking a specific answer, like trying to prove a point. And of course the Soundcloud streaming didn't help, but it's a timesaver and easiest way I guess. Fun times.

Re: Roland Plug-Out Synth System-1

I recently got the keyboard version. For my needs, I think it's awesome. I love the keyboard and the small size - much easier on my back. It was the new OS update that sold me, with 6 new waveforms and 64 patch slots, plenty for me now. We even DIY'ed a box so I can carry it around with a TR-8. Both...

Re: synthesizer audio output

well i don't claim to have super human hearing. but that's not why I'm writing. to put my original post into perspective, imagine that out of all your synths only one of them tops out at 16 khz. would it bother you?

synthesizer audio output freq. bandwidth

is it bad if a synth's audio output is frequency bandwidth limited to 16 khz on the upper regions? so, even with the filter wide open and you're playing high notes, through an analyzer you'll never see movement above 16 khz. how would you feel about that? :geek:
