Re: Survey on Analog vs Virtual Analog Synths

Re: Roland Plug-Out Synth System-1
I recently got the keyboard version. For my needs, I think it's awesome. I love the keyboard and the small size - much easier on my back. It was the new OS update that sold me, with 6 new waveforms and 64 patch slots, plenty for me now. We even DIY'ed a box so I can carry it around with a TR-8. Both...

Re: synthesizer audio output freq. bandwidth
So, it doesn't matter for a production tool / synthesizer. Do you think it matters for recording tools then? And what about playback formats? All of these tools for human use of course...

Re: synthesizer audio output
well i don't claim to have super human hearing. but that's not why I'm writing. to put my original post into perspective, imagine that out of all your synths only one of them tops out at 16 khz. would it bother you?

synthesizer audio output freq. bandwidth
is it bad if a synth's audio output is frequency bandwidth limited to 16 khz on the upper regions? so, even with the filter wide open and you're playing high notes, through an analyzer you'll never see movement above 16 khz. how would you feel about that?
